I just created an account on "Investopedia", which they didn't make very easy.

Got the same reCaptcha as shown in your screenshot(s) - in my case it was bycycles instead of cars; took a bit of effort, but when I was least expecting it, I found myself registered and signed in.

And of course I too get the "yellow triangle with exclamation mark", as this is a site with mixed content - this happens on every site that has images.

My question to you : after you've clicked the cars (verified the images) : what happened  ?

Hi walleye23, it's strange in your screenshot that Firefox is half off the screen. If you can't see the entire Firefox window, it will be difficult to access all parts of the form. In particular, you need to be able to reach the blue VERIFY button:

After you complete the CAPTCHA challenge, a check mark should appear in the box. Is that part working? Then you should be able to click the Sign In button. What happens when you click that?

I did this and it did not correct the problem, Ugh!

It says screen connection not secure. Here's a screenshot

Just to make sure : Could it be that you did not click the shield icon, but clicked the yellow triangle with an exclamation mark and read (under "Connection"):

"Connection is not secure. Parts of this page are not secure (such as images)."

I did that and it gives me the same message as when I click on the yellow triangle, connection is not secure. To be sure, the icon between the yellow and the circle?

My content setting is always set as Standard and I didn't enter anything on that particular screen shot because I had just signed in about 10 times so I didn't bother that time.

Let me try to summarize the problem :

You want to sign in; get the reCaptcha to solve, which you do and then click "I'm not a robot" - instead of being signed in, you get once again prompted to sign in; over and over and over .....

Two questions I forgot to ask :

1) Did you already have an account on that site, and were you always able to sign in before, or did you just now create an account and have never signed in before ?

2) Have you tried to sign in with another browser, like e.g. Safari, and if so : same problem ?

Safari will not allow me to sign on, it seems like the same thing as I'm experiencing with Mozilla.

Thank you for answering my questions - weird thing though : no problem signing in with Chrome (Google's browser), but you can't sign in with neither Firefox or Safari.

Just to be sure: You do get a checkmark placed in "I'm not a robot", but when you proceed and click the "Sign In" button then you are returned to the sign in page?

If the latter happens then this is possibly a problem with blocked or corrupted cookies.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

• hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
• press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
• press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Remove the Cookies" from websites that cause problems:

  Cookies and Site Data -> Manage Data

"Clear the Cache":

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
