I downloaded some addons and now I can see images in steemit.com nor steempeak.com. They worked before the addons. I tried removing addons. That didn't solve my problem.

I tried site info where I made sure images where coming through. That didn't work.

I restarted my computer multiple times. That didn't work.

I tried to restart foxfire; even went so far as to use safe mode. That didn't work.

I'm at a loss at this point. I hate to stop using foxfire. I really like it. Please help.

Thanks.

If images are missing then check that you do not block images from some domains.

  • you can tap the Alt key or press the F10 key to show the hidden Menu Bar temporarily

check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools -> Page Info -> Permissions".

Check "Tools -> Page Info -> Media" for blocked images

  • select the first image and use the cursor Down key to scroll through the list
  • if an image in the list is grayed and "Block Images from..." has a checkmark then remove this checkmark to unblock images from this domain

You can check this pref on the about:config page.

  • permissions.default.image (1)

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.

Firefox shows the shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar in case Content Blocking is blocking content.

  • click the shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection

You can check the Web Console about what content is blocked

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.

You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.

You can check the Network Monitor to see if content is blocked or otherwise fails to load.

If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

Addons caused problem isn't really a firefox end user help to fix. Have you checked with the addon site creators about your issue with their addon?

I remove all of the addons.

And I'm not sure which addon started the problem. But removing them should have fixed the problem, no?

cor-el, some of things I didn't try. I'll have to come back tomorrow to see if I can resolve the issue.

Thanks to both responders.

The reason I asked about addon caused problem was you mentioned it worked before the addon and after it didn't and after removing them it didn't fix the problem would lead me to believe the Addon if possible was the cause of the problem. I suspect the addons did something to firefox itself or changed a security setting but also check your security software to see if it didn't detect addons causing or doing something it wasn't suppose to do and block that feature from connecting.

Westend, how would I do that?

I went to site info, then to content blocking, and then switched it to standard.

I thought I'd tried that last night, but I was in a rush so I don't know what was happening.

Thanks so very much for your help and clear instructions.
