Hello, during a syncronisation job of firefox folder I got the failure message, that one file can not be copied. It is the file under the user profile in the folder cert8.dir. It is a file with no extension. If I want to do it manually, I got the message, I have to do this as administrator. But as administrator this is not possilbe too. My question: how can I delete this file? Thanks in advance

Hi, I solved the problem by: + right mouse button => properties => security + add admin rights to this file + remove the file as administrator

That way was deleting the file.

Windows hides some file extension by default and in this case the file name would be cert8.db. This cert8.db file was used by older Firefox versions to store certificate data and has been replaced by a SQLite database named cert9.db in current Firefox releases.

If you can't removed this file then it is possible that the hard drive is corrupted or the file is locked by another application.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
