Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

When you say 'Saved addresses' - do you mean 'Saved Logins '  ? If you have checked 'Remember logins and password for websites' every new login will be added, unless you put them in 'Exceptions'

I've been told by another tech person that the "saved address" feature is not fully available yet (or some such thing) so that would explain why you do not understand what I'm talking about and why it seems to have disappeared from the options menu.

I'm on a beta channel and firefox will update my browser and add a "saved addresses" option in the privacy & security part of the options menu and now I look at it today and the "saved addresses" option is completely gone. Its as if firefox has now regressed and went back in time.

Time has run out on Firefox 58 beta, as we are reaching the release candidate stage. Things that are buggy have to come out before release and continue in development in the next beta. Hopefully that issue will be fixed.
