I am able to access my Google bookmarks without a problem. I am unable to "find" the control panel button the menu to allow www.google.com as a safe web address.....not sure if finding the privacy settings in the control panel will solve the problem of not being able to access my Google e-mails. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Could you copy/paste the text from the error message into a reply? If the page has an Advanced button, please click that button and copy/paste the additional text revealed that way. Thanks.

The following is the only message I received when I attempt to access my google account: Comment - I believe my cookie settings have been enabled. I have no trouble accessing my google e-mails in Internet Explorer which is on the same laptop. Not sure where to find my Browser privacy settings on Mozilla Firefox,,,on Internet Explorer they are set "mid-range" not at the "high level".

If you didn't try clearing cache and cookies, here's how in Firefox:

(1) Clear Firefox's Cache

See: How to clear the Firefox cache

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes. If you do not see the number going down on the page, you can reload it using Ctrl+r to check progress.

(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:

  • right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • click the padlock or "i" icon in the address bar, then the ">" button, then More Information, and finally the "View Cookies" button

In the dialog that opens, the current site should be pre-filled in the search box at the top of the dialog so you can remove that site's cookies individually.

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
