This Connection is Untrusted is sometimes caused because the computer system clock is wrong. Check the time / date / time zone settings.

If it only happens on specific websites then this can be a problem with the servers of this website being overloaded. You can try to reload the page or possibly visit the website at a different time of the day to see if that helps.

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

Okay, so a bit of an update. I uninstalled the Shockwave Director, and then reinstalled it, but the problem still happens. I also refreshed Firefox back to factory settings, hoping that it may work, but no change. I also ran both my Norton and Maleware Bytes to see if there may be something, but neither detected any problems. So, I don't know what else to do.

Also, cor-el, it does do it to some specific sites, but not all the time. It has even done it a few times to Firefox itself. Once or twice when I was just starting it up.

If there are any other specifics, feel free to ask, because this problem is starting to get on my nerves.

I am also getting a message that says Connection was Reset.

It could be a problem with your ISP that isn't able to handle all users that want to use internet at the same time. Do you see a looking up message at the bottom of the screen or does it advance to connecting or waiting state?

You can try to check the connection progress state in the Network Monitor.

You can check the log in the Web Console for error messages and the Network Monitor (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) to see what content is requested and how long it takes to arrive (Timings).

I am unsure on what you mean by looking up message. Sorry, but I am a bit of an idiot when it comes to computers.

When Firefox is loading a web page then you see all kind of status messages at the bottom on the Firefox window. The first message is "Looking up" for the DNS look up of the IP address of the server followed by "Connecting" and "Waiting for" and "Transfer" when the actual data is passed in both directions.

To be honest I think that I have figured out the connection problem. However, the connection was reset problem seems to happen after I visit Deviantart. No other site seems to cause the problem. Is there anything I can do to prevent this when I visit that site?
