[Flame/FirefoxOS 2.0] When trying to download updates for some apps, the notification "Downloading updates..." appears, but shows no progress (0.00 MB downloaded). Cancelling and restarting the download does not help. The apps attempted to update stay unusable (gray 'Restart Download' icon) and need to be deleted and re-installed manually.

This is, by the way, not due to a slow internet connection. I have watched the download making no progress for over 30 Minutes, despite having a fast internet connection. Furthermore, the problem persists after a new update is available, but is limited to certain apps.

Hello,

After reading the information provided about your issue I suggest a soft reset of the phone.

  1. Take the back cover of the phone off.
  2. Take the battery out.
  3. Take the SIM card and microSD card out (if applicable).
  4. Wait 10 seconds.
  5. Put the SIM card and microSD card back in (if applicable).
  6. Put the battery back in.
  7. Put the back cover back on.
  8. Turn the device on.
  9. Check if the issue you were having is still present.

Please report back to us if this solved your problem!

Thank you

Hello,

thank you for reading about my problem.

Unfortunately, performing a soft reset did not solve my problem. The apps that failed to update are showing a download activity, but the download is not completing (I have now waited several hours; activity is showing no progress at all). Furthermore, I would like to find a solution where I do not need a soft reset for updating apps, since this problem already appeared in the past multiple times. (Back then, I simply removed and installed the app from the Marketplace again.)

Thank you for helping, and thanks to those who reported having this problem, too.

I had also this Problem often at 1.3 and sometimes at 2.1. Now with FFOS 2.2 it seems to work.
