I was getting duplicates and triplicates when I started using Hotmail as my main email server. It was POP so I changed to IMAP hoping it would solve that minor problem. Now I have a bigger problem like reading an email it gets marked as read and then changes back to bold. I can right click and manually change it back to read, as in unbold, but it sometimes goes back to bold by itself. In addition, I get some emails mixed up with other emails. Like the body isn't the same as the subject title indicated. I can solve this by going back to POP that had less problems.

Try to rebuild the index file of the troubled folder. Right-click the folder - Properties - Repair Folder

Thanks, but that is only the minor part of the problem, and it hasn't happened again. The big part is the read emails sometimes change back to unread.
