Since the automatic update this morning I cannot access the internet, although I am connected!!??

I am connected to the network but for some reason I cannot access the internet, nor connect my mail. This started this morning when I got the message that Thunderbird did an automatic upgrade....then nothing. I've tried just about everything since this morning, then I called Microsoft help. We established that I am connected to the network but I still can't browse. Tried with IE, Safari, and Chrome. My other computers work perfectly!!! What seems to be the problem?

We have a general help article for when none of your browsers can load sites. Not sure whether anything here is helpful or whether you've tried these suggestions before: Firefox and other browsers can't load websites.
It is now working. !!!!???? I went out to have dinner and when I came back to try some of the suggestions....I noticed that all my emails had come in.
My wife says it's because of the black and blue dress (or is it white and gold?)
