I get this message when trying to delete or compact....

"The folder 'Inbox on gggdds@js-net.com' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again...."

I'm logged in as administrator; what else can I do?

I have been successfully using outlook emails in Thunderbird for a long time Yesterday I sent an outlook email via Microsoft outlook successfully Today I try to send an email out via Thunderbird (outlook) mail but it does not go A window comes up requesting to Retry or Enter New Password or Cancel Retrying does not work Entering a new password does not bring up any window at all !

Tried to delve into the email settings but got nowhere

Can you help? Must I reload Thunderbird and Firefox? Are there tweaks that I am missing. I have spent several hours trying to sort this out, so far no luck!! Can you help?

I'm running Windows 10 and recently switched from the ESR Channel version (128.11.1) to the Release Channel version (139.0.2) and, since then, have started having a problem where the unread email count displayed on the system tray icon and also the count on the Taskbar icon are no longer correct. Most incoming, unread emails aren't counted. This feature has always worked correctly for me previously, ever since I first installed Thunderbird several years ago. When I go into Thunderbird, the count of unread emails in whatever folder they're in is still correct, the problem is just with the counts on the taskbar and tray icons.

I'm not 100% sure, but I *think* it might be the case that emails which end up in the default "Inbox" folder are added to the counts, but those which are automatically allocated on arrival to other folders on the basis of filter rules aren't being added to the counts displayed on the icons. I have searched for others reporting the same issue and haven't been able to find anything, so it seems unlikely that it's a bug. I'd greatly appreciate any help in resolving this issue please.

Super Large Fonts

I have a yahoo email account that forwards emails to Thunderbird. One person I receive emails from uses Fastmail. Messages from Fastmail often have a portion of the email that has super large fonts. The messages look normal on the yahoo web mail site, but have super big fonts in Thunderbird. If I cut and past the portions with big fonts into my word processor, the fonts look normal as well. I clipped a portion of the html from one of these emails (attached) and you can see from the "font-size" values why the size is so large with values like "8889%" versus "18px". I have no idea where the bogus values are coming from (i.e. Fastmail, yahoo, Thunderbird). But apparently Thunderbird scales the fonts up where the web browser and my word processor seem to ignore the bogus values. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys. It used to be that when I read an email and click the delete button, the tab would close and it would return to the folder the email was in. But since the last update, it just shows me the next email in the folder.

Is there a way to change that? I want to return to the folder after an email was deleted. I don't want to look at the next email.

I looked in settings everywhere and if there is a way to change that in settings, I can't find it.

I have a brand new computer with a brand new installation of Thunderbird. The email account is set up correctly and emails can be sent and received.

The computer also runs Cashflow Manager which can email invoices and statements. When we attempt to send an email from Cashflow Manger, a new Thunderbird email window opens up but it appears to be in a non-formattable state. You can't write in it or do anything with it. You have go to the file options and do "Open As New Message" to then be able to do anything with it.

Why are new emails opened in this manner different to opening them from within Thunderbird itself?

In one of my two e-mail accounts I manage with Thunderbird via IMAP, the archive options (where I would like to configure that the archived messages go into folders organized by year) are greyed out. See attached screenshot. (In the other account, these options are accessible.) The account in question is a google-based work account; is this related to the inaccessibility of the archiving options? 2) Thunderbird 128.12.0es does not show the number of selected messages in the Status Bar when I select multiple messages, instead showing the number of selected conversations.
