I purchased a new computer and I saved all my bookmarks from my old computer, as directed in the instructions into a html file and put it on a flash drive. When I go thru the suggested process to import these files from the flash drive, they do not go into the main 'bookmarks toolbar folder in the bookmarks drop down, they install as a separate file in the last section at the bottom as a separate file. Every time I attempt to import the html file of old bookmarks, it goes in the 4th section of the bookmarks drop down as a new folder called ' bookmarks toolbar'. Example: if I import the html file 10 times I then have 10 new 'bookmarks toolbar' folders in the 4th section. As I had before... for several years... I want all my book marks in the drop down tab in the 3rd section (see attachment) 'bookmarks toolbar' which sits just above the 'other bookmarks' file... not in a folder below in the 4th section. Help...

Attempting to import data from my Opera to firefox. I click on import data and it just perpetually hangs. I have closed all other browsers and it still hangs. Only antivirus I have is windows defender.

Trying to import saved passwords from an OpenOffice file on Windows 11 but FireFox refuses saying there are incorrect or no column headers.

When I open the file myself there are column headers using UTF-8 ...... must they be in a sequence or something?! Specific headers?

I wanted to download Firefox as a way to get rid of Google. Only, when I installed Firefox, it says "Browse with Google or type in address." I do not want Google. I wanted to just install my visited sites and passwords and be done with it. I've uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it only to be the same thing. I was hoping to also grab the passwords from Microsoft Edge and have just Firefox.

What am I doing wrong? Please Help!

I'm on a new computer,which has windows 11 and I transferred everything I was using on my old machine ,,, Just down another of Firefox which I had been using for about a week what going on... This is very distracing

I can't Import bookmarks from chrome, the option is missing. Everything else worked, and the option is not "hidden", when I clicked to import bookmarks were not imported.

Good evening. This might be a tough one and not sure if it is even possible. I have had Firefox on my Dell Desktop for about 6 years. Over that time I have made many tweaks via about:config to get it working and looking as great as can be. I did just purchase a new HP desktop and downloaded and synced Firefox. I was also able to set up the new PC next to the old one to make sure each settings menu is exact. But the appearance is off on so many levels. I have no idea how many tweaks I have made over the years but have no idea exactly where to start. I did not know if there was any way on the older PC with those tweaks made to get a log of some sort of what I changed on that Firefox.

Even with the settings menu exact in both versions I cannot figure out what changes I had made. It's not many but enough. I know it is crazy but here is 2 screenshots. The one on the right, the smaller one in general is from the old PC and how I want it to look. I have tried tweaking zoom and text on the new PC and it has been a disaster, hence looking here.

i haven't used Firefox for a while but when i tried to import my bookmarks from Brave, they were imported but i cannot access them. i would have believed that Firefox would have either given me a 2nd listing or merged them into the ones i already have. am i to believe that this cannot be done? or am i overthinking this import thing?

Despite trying all available solutions, importing bookmarks from Chrome does not work in this firefox latest version 150.0.1. When importing Bookmarks from Chrome, the Saved Passwords file is fully imported and shows 163 Nos. imported. But on opening Firefox, nothing is there. No folder contains imported bookmaks. Tried importing several times, but to no avail. Uninstalled, restarted PC and reinstalled firefox. But importing Bookmarks and Passwords from Chrome sucks. I am fully aware of the procedure. So no more detailing needed. Using firefox since the last 16 years. But the software makers are simply spoiling a good browser by deliberately creating issues. Tried importing from saved html file of bookmakrs, but that also is not helpful. Why Firefox is deliberately causing such errors with updated versions? Please release next version after thoroughly checkining this importing feature and ensure that it works correctly. I tried uninstalling, restarting the PC and reinstalling with with full offline installer as well as online installer. Nothing helped. Chrome works smoothly. Earlier firefox did not have any such issues. With each update, problems after prblems started creeping in with someone deliberately tweeking the software and spoiling a good browser. Please look into it seriously and provide a solution.

I want to transfer three FOLDERS from Firefox bookmarks to Chrome, then to Edge.

All the single bookmarks are transferred, but the Folders do not transfer.

These three folders contain hundreds of E-Bay searches.

I am trying to move these three folders to E-Bay as E-Bay seems broken for several days.

Sometimes the first folder will open all searches, but if you click on an item, receive access violation.

A real chore to break out the individual searches, transfer to Edge, then rebuilt the folders.....

Appreciate any advice!!!
