If I go fullscreen in any mediaplayer (such as YouTube, Crunchyroll, Prime Video or Jellyfin) I get a bar at the top and a bar in the left. You can see either the wallpaper or another programm, its like shifted to the right and bottom. I know its a problem with tunred off Hardwareacceleration. If I turn it back on the problem never occurs. I tried with troubleshoot mode enabled but there I couldnt recreate it because the problem does not occur, even after I turn troubleshoot mode off. The problem only occurs again after a complete restart of the computer.

I know there are other posts with the same problem but there was never a solution.

I have the problem that if a stream is playing (Youtube or other video sites) and iam on another tab that the stream stopps/hangs for a second...

It seems to hang also if iam scrolling on another site while the video is playin in a not active tab.

If iam on the active tab where the video is playing it is working fine and no stopps/hanging.

So there seems to be a problem with playing streams/Videos on non active tabs...

I testet Linux Bazzite and there wasnt this problem with Firefox.

So seems to be a problem with Firefox in Windows...

I have Firefox Settings UNCHECKED to open previous windows and tabs, yet it very often tells me it's having trouble opening previous windows and tabs.

I want it to quit trying to open previous windows and tabs on this computer. How can I do this?

Tonight I received a notice that a new version of Firefox was available and asking if I wanted to download it. It showed me the new Kit mascot so I decided to let it install. It seemed to install normally but when it tried to open what I guess is a welcome/new features page, it crashes, and just showed a prompt to try again. This continued in an endless loop and I had to shut it down. Unfortunately I no longer had a functioning version available that I could find so I downoaded the ESR version to be safe (ver 140.5.0esr) which I am now using. Somehow I was able to recover bookmarks and hopefully other saved info. Can anyone advise what has happened? I have used Firefox for many years and never had this sort of problem before. Running Windows 11 on a new Dell i7 PC.

I'd like to change a Payment Method, but I am unable to find it in Settings.

I found instructions to look for it under Autofill in "General" or "Privacy & Security".

But the only references I find are for "Autofill" in "Import browser data" and for "Payment" in "Sync settings".

ich habe bei firefox die Lesezeichen von meinem alten Notebook mit meinem neuen Notebook synchronisiert, dabei wurden die Icons der Lesezeichen durch Weltkugeln ersetzt. ich möchte aber die icon mit synchronsieren.

So within the last couple of days Firefox has started toggling the menu bar even though I have it disabled/hidden. If I were to click off of the browser to check Discord for example, it pops up when I click back on and literally moves stuff down--which makes it annoying if I try to click back on to enter a web address.

Anyone else having this problem?

I need to know how I can stop my overflow bar from appearing whenever I click off and then back onto FireFox.

Steps to recreate starting in FireFox: 1. Click on an application other than FireFox 2. Click back on FireFox and then the overflow menu appears 3. Click anywhere on your FireFox window and it vanishes until step 1 & 2 are repeated

Hi, after upgrading to Windows 11 all my Firefox saved passwords are gone. My extensions synced, but passwords did not even though I had sync turned on. How can I recover my old passwords or check if they were synced to my Firefox Account?

My Win 11 (25H2) desktop occasionally sends me to renew access on my gmail account (via IEEE organization, services10.ieee.org) where I enter my walter.dinkins@ieee.org email and then it sends acknowledgement to Google or YouTube on my iPhone. Now I keep getting error message "Unable to connect". I am able to connect on my iPhone via the Firefox app but not on my PC. I added https://mail.google.com and hppts://accounts.google.com but still not luck. Any other suggestions? Regards, Walter

I have an HP AIO w/Win 11 and use Firefox for my browser. Last week I did a reset and since then when I try to use a link in Facebook it won't load. All I get is a greyed-out screen with a pulsating circle. The site the link is programmed to go to is faintly visible behind the greyed out screen. No problems if I use Google. What do I have to do to get Firefox to recognize, and open, legitimate links?

Any idea why it keeps being unable to open sites at some point, about 2-3 days after being opened? Might load eventually, but only after about 10 mins... private mode still loads quickly, though...? I tried playing with DNS, no proxies...
