When I regularly clean out cookies, there is one that keeps showing up in spite of my trying to remove it. Info in that dialogue box says it has been with me for more than a week. Of course, I keep all regular Mozilla cookies, but this one is strange. It is 'about.ef2a7dd5-93bc-417f-a698-14c3116864f.' Can you tell me what this is?

When I sign in to new websites, they never do keep me logged in. I noticed this problem is present only for services that are working for my friends, that use other browsers, so they can keep users signed in. For the websites that I had been logged in before it stopped working, I'm still signed in and I can enjoy not having to log in every time.

I believe it all started happening when I cleared my cookies once, around half a year ago.

I did however check my settings, and I don't have selected option, that clears cookies after each browser session. My password saving feature works as well.

Why do Cross Site tracking cookies show up after I shut down the browser and restart? I have my history set up to delete everything when I close the browser so I'm curious why cross site cookies are apparently allowed to exist/function, even after a restart?

How to restore cookies which have been deleted by mistake. I have accidently cleared all cookies from the cache. however, some of the important information from one of the softwares (Zerodha) was stored in the cache as cookies. Now the entire data is lost. How can it be recovered

I don't know in which version exactly it happened but a few weeks earlier i was able to edit cookies like we can on all other browsers, but today suddenly i cannot.

I expected it to be a simple double-click and i can edit the cookie key name or value but it doesn't let me edit, it opens the detailed view about that cookie. I looked EVERYWHERE and could NOT find any way to edit the cookies for hours and this is really frustrating as a dev. This is important to troubleshoot many kinds of bugs when I am developing an app.

The past few days when i've tried searching for certain pages i go to all the time they won't show up under "firefox suggest" then when i check my history for them the pages are just completely gone, today i checked my history for yesterday and even though i started browsing at 8:00 the history only went back to around 13:00 with all the pages before that completely gone, this also causes me to lose all the cookies as well.

Please help fix this problem. I see a similar question on the forums from March 2021, but I'm having this problem now: when I go into icloud.com, it keeps asking for authentication - i.e. it presents a 6-digit code which goes to my phone/ipad, and I have to put it into the browser. After that, I'm prompted "Do you want to Trust this browser" to which I ALWAYS say "Yes", but it doesn't seem to work; the next day, if I try icloud again, it does it all over, like the "Trust" option is ignored. In settings, "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" is unchecked, Clicking "Manage Data" shows that cookies for icloud.com are saved. I've just added icloud.com into Exceptions to Allow to use cookies/site data, though I wouldn't think I'd NEED that if I'm never deleting them. I tried this with Chrome, and the Trust DID work; I can sign in with that browser and not have to put in the code.

What's up with that?

My cookies are being deleted very regularly perhaps two times per week and very often it seems to occur after one the the very frequent updates are installed. I have tested this by refusing an update for several days and the cookies remain, but after i accept, often, they are deleted. I have not changed any settings related to cookies at any time and so it does appear that the updates are the couse. there cookies are very useful and include preferences for websites and identification details and it's incrediibly frustrating to have them erased though no fault of mine
