Hi, i formatted my pc and upgraded to windows 11 but before that i synced all my bookmarks of previous firefox to my account but after i downloaded firefox on windows 11 and signed in with my account the bookmarks doesn't import automatically but it is asking me to import from other browsers like chrome on which i have different bookmarks and i want my firefox bookmarks back why is it not seemless like google chrome.

Bought a new computer. All my toolbar bookmarks migrated across successfully. Sidebar symbol missing from the menu bar and I couldn't find where these Book Marks were at first. But then I right clicked on the menu bar, clicked on Manage Book Marks which opened a Library box and there they were. Does anyone know an easier way to access them please? I had a set of Firefox bookmarks but when I signed into my Firefox on my Surface Pro 3, Firefox automatically imported my Chrome browser. I went back to the library to restore it and the old version was not there.
How do I get my Firefox bookmarks back. I tried to get them from my Android phone and it also has the wrong bookmarks.

Hey y'all, I just closed Firefox and tried to open in up again a few minutes later. The icon in my taskbar threw an error saying it couldn't find the executable. I typed Firefox into the run dialog and FF came up but has no icons on the home screen, zeroed out my bookmarks bar below the URL field and deleted all my bookmarks (100s).
I went into the User/../../Mozilla folder system and found a folder called bookmarksBackup or something similar. It was completely empty.
Any chance these were saved somewhere else as well?

My PC froze and had no choice but to reload win 10. After doing so I had the choice to download win 11 for free which I did. When I download Firefox all of my bookmarks were missing. I have tried to follow your instructions to retrieve them i.e. Troubleshooting... Application Basics ... Profile Folder...Open Folder... which opened >>> C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\42o9xo83.default-release . Sadly, I am not a Teckie and I do not have a clue what the next move is to get my bookmarks back.

I had to restore Windows to its initial settings. I lost all my programs because of this, including Firefox. I reinstalled the browser, logged in to my account (which is synchronized), but instead of recovering all my bookmarks I got nothing. Empty bookmark box. What's worse, they were initially available on the mobile device, but they were also deleted there (both from the browser and from the smartphone). Firefox restored history, add-ons, but not bookmarks. Is there any way to recover these bookmarks?

When I use 'Manage Bookmarks' and the Library to delete bookmarks and bookmark folders in addition to cleaning up duplicate bookmarks, the deleted folders and bookmarks automatically reappear in my Bookmark sidebar 1-2 hours later.
Initially, I had sync on but did not have Bookmarks checked for syncing. Deleted bookmarks and folders still reappeared. Then I turned off sync for this browser / machine. Deleted bookmarks and folders still reappeared.
I tried to see if there was a setting that enabled automatic restores of bookmark backups - but could not find one to turn off. I have tried refreshing the installation and starting again - using a one-time sync from another machine - but continue to be unable to permanently delete old / obsolete / duplicate bookmarks and folders.
I've also tried 2 Bookmark clean-up extensions. While I am able to delete duplicates and empty folders using these tools, 1-2 hours later they are back in the Bookmark sidebar.
Is there anyway to prevent the automatic restoration of the Bookmark Library?

So on my Legion laptop, Windows 11 Home, the bookmarks keep rearranging themselves, iv also noticed A LOT of duplicates and folders which I did not add. I rebooted the laptop then tried scanning the it with WindowsDefender and Malwarebytes, and refreshing the application. On my desktop which is synced, there is no issue. I thought I was seeing things at first until I focused right on the bookmark tool bar and every 10-20 seconds one will just pop into a new position. Will a fresh install work? That's my next step, but wanted to see if there is a better solution.
