I have firefox for android, and I have ublock origin, which is great.

However, firefox seems to refresh constantly- even if I minimize it than return instantly- it automatically goes into a refresh mode, it refreshes randomly while scrolling- I wish I coudl completely turn this "feature" off across all browsers.

I cannot state how many times I have lost VITAL data from this annoying random refreshing.

It should be an option to completely disable refreshing of ANY kind, rather than forcing it down our throats, and losing time, and data. If I want to see new content I will refresh it myself/ re enable the option. I was hoping this ridiculous "feature" would be phased out when humanity pulled its head out, but apparently- it's gotten even worse, now.

When I watch a youtube video with chrome my cpu usage is 20-30% When I do the same with firefox my cpu usage is 50%

Running `about:support` and going into `webrender_compositor` I get the following errors under `env`: 1. Blocklisted by gfxInfo 2. Blocklisted; failure code 3. FEATURE_FAILURE_WEBRENDER_COMPOSITOR_DISABLED

I have set almost all these force renders = True and even granted gpu access to firefox flathub but still no difference in performance. I am asking now because I am just going in circles in the rabbit hole.

Firefox crashed and now will not open without crashing. I have trashed it and re-installed but still getting this error and cannot use the application. It will not open in Trouble Shoot mode. I even removed all files in the Library/Application Support

when I search for a page after opening a tab. The page will load slowly then stop. I'll then have to hit enter again for the page the load. This does not happen with Chrome or Edge. Any ideas how to fix this frustrating issue. Thanks.

I'm not sure why, sometimes the status bar clock and stuff do hide, but I just can't seem to figure out how to get them to hide every time, and they usually don't. I've already tried disabling picture in picture for the app but that isn't noticeably helping. Full screen video is supposed to hide those, right? What are the reasons it wouldn't?

Has anyone seen a message similar to this when trying to attach a document, usually a pdf to an email?

O:\XXXXXXXXXX.pdf could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences.

Also, when someone send me an image file, I can't open it directly from the email. I have to download it and then open it. This isn't as big of an issue as the above, but I thought I'd ask it too.

Windows 10 Thunderbird 115.10.0

I have an issue with using newgroups via NNTP server in Thunderbird. News only load during startup of the program. Whenever the option Get Messages is chosen later, or when it is automatically run by the program, the process seems to get stuck in a loading state. In this state neither can new messages be read (the headers seem to be there and are shown, but the body of the message isn't), nor can new messages be sent (message sending gets stuck in status "Assembling Message")

This has been the case for a few releases already, and is currently present on 115.10.0 (64bit)

About 2 weeks ago, Thunderbird stopped sending emails. I spent a couple of hours on the phone with tech support but was unable to correct the issue. Changed all of the settings several times, SMTP server, port, security and authentication without success. Tech support suggested using their server but that's a pain. Starting Friday April 19, I have been experiencing constant very brief internet outages/reconnections while using Facebook on the desktop. The outages do not occur anywhere else on the internet...and do not occur on other browsers. I prefer to use Firefox. I am using Windows 11.

I was a bit surprised that I found some mozilla kraken benchmark 1.1 results that were somewhat better than mine (despite being done on the same mobile SoC as mine)

I then read closely that the better score was made on the Chrome Mobile browser.

I then installed Chrome on my mobile and also suddenly got results which average were about 25 - 28 % better than when I ran Kraken in Firefox Is that to be expected? Or can I do something to make my firefox just as fast?

All of our "read" emails, --from all of our accounts -- have suddenly disappeared. All of the folders and subfolders are still present. We still get new email, but as soon as we read it, it's gone. We have had these same email accounts for years and have not made any changes. In Account Settings --> Synchronization & Storage --> "don't delete any messages" is checked. "Read" messages are still on our server.

So, 1) Why did this happen? 2) Is there any way we can get our messages back in Thunderbird?

TB v115.8.0 (64-bit) Closed the app and went to dinner Came back and opened the app. All the tasks are GONE!!!

I know TB keeps everything in text files, so I found the "calendar-data" folder and opened some files using NOTEPAD.EXE to find keywords I know represent my tasks. Sure enough, the data is there in the sqlite files.

What's the secret code that simply decides to not open those files and populate my task window?

When I right click the taskbar and press close Firefox, here comes the interface just as the screenshot uploaded. The blue close button doesn't response no matter how I click it and the Firefox's taskbar is flashing yellow. This bug only occurs on the first window of Firefox and only when user right click the taskbar.

It has been a long time for me wishing that some updates would be released soon to fix this issue, while noting happens. Or this bug is only for me?

I'm getting login issues to my Outlook account. I understand this is an emerging problem and I"m following the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202

However, I can't follow the instructions under section "Change Thunderbird authentication method for sending messages (SMTP)" because I don't have "Outgoing Server (SNMP)" in the lefthand side. I do have an option to edit Outgoing Server settings, but there is no option to set OAuth2 in the Authentication Method dropdown. I am unable to send Outlook emails, and I'm unable to complete the instructions to fix it. Help is appreciated!

Symptom:

1. TB stopped downloading new emails for one account on PC.

Solutions Tried without success:

1. Checked Email configuration and settings 2. Restart TB 3. Rebuild Global Database by deleting global-messages-db.sqlite file. 4. Delete Saved passwords. 5. Delete all emails on webserver dating back to when problem began. 6. Change password on webserver.

Issue Details: I use TB on my desktop to manage many different email accounts. Some from Gmail and some from Ionos. Last week, TB stopped downloading emails from one of my Ionos accounts. It still downloads from my other Ionos account and my gmail accounts. I use Aquamail on my Android device and it continues to be able to download emails for this same account. Additionally, I have a laptop with TB and it continues to download emails from this account without issue.

If you need additional information, please ask. Suggesting switching to IMAP is not useful and not a solution to my issue. I respectfully request that you Please do not go there (been down this road before). I want to fix the problem, not go around it.

Today I tried to look up a previous email that I'd filed in a subfolder, but the folder displayed no emails. If I click on the subfolder above it, it shows me the number of emails and displays the list of emails. Then when I click on the subfolder I want, it displays the name and number of emails for the previous subfolder I looked at.

I tried troubleshoot mode, but still no luck, and the folder is gray instead of yellow like all the others.

I'm using Thunderbird 115.9.0 (32 bit), Windows 11 Home 64-bit.

I've been using Thunderbird for years and have never had this problem before.

Hoping someone will have some advice!

On the Firefox Android app, after closing few tabs, exiting the application and re-entering the application, the closed tabs reappears as if they weren't closed at all. I found this is a well known bug and there are few open threads on bugzilla on this topic. Someone said that's related to a corruption of the closed tabs' json file.

PS. It's difficult to share a screenshot, probably a video is more explanatory
