Please help me with the following, highly annoying issue. I just changed laptops and signed in to Firefox with my Mozilla account on the new device. Unfortunately the bookmarks and passwords were not updated so I can't see them.
I thought I'll sync the windows app with the android app that I have on my phone and where I have and can see all the saved passwords.
I followed the instructions on how to connect another device that say to open the Android app, go to syncing and tap the ready to scan button to read the QR code. The problem: there is no Tap Ready To Scan button on my phone! I looked for it everywhere and it just isn't there. Please see the attached images.
All I want is to import the passwords and bookmarks from my phone to my laptop. Please help me.

Hi all. I recently had a terminal problem on my Win 10 computer so have bought a new Win 11 machine. I ran Firefox on the old Win 10, had 5 email accounts, had about 12 local folders and had my Profile stored in a folder on the desktop. The folder was moved there some years ago but don 't remember how I did it. I moved it there because this folder gets backed up every night.
So, I have managed to remove the HDD from my old machine and have located the 'old' profile folder. I now need to re-install Firefox on the new machine and match it up to my old profile folder (I think...)
Any advice on how to do that?

The font size in "Manage Bookmarks" is way too large, both in the sections list menu on the left and the list of bookmarks. I checked my userChrome.css file as well as the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx entry in about:config and there's nothing there to explain why only the "Manage Bookmarks" text is so large.
It's possible I changed a setting somewhere that's causing this. But I'm stumped re: what setting might be controlling the font size in only that UI. All other Firefox text sizes are good.

I could not remember my pw today when trying to get bookmarks back on this computer, so reset, thinking I would otherwise be locked out --now I'm not seeing an option to sync bookmarks. Several weeks ago, I was attempting to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11. In the process, I deleted Firefox (using Revo Uninstaller) and then reinstalled it, downloading it from the Mozilla website. Unfortunately, it didn’t run, giving me, at different attempts, different error messages. In the time since then, I have read many suggestions from many different websites and I have tried some of these suggestions, all with no success – until today. I have just completed the suggestions made on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1327628 and Firefox is now back, working. I am happy and grateful, but not finished. None of my personal data came with the currently functioning version of Firefox. Since the re-emergence of Firefox, I have been reading several websites dealing with copy, backup and restore of my Firefox profile. Right now, the path C:\Users\rsuth\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ shows 5 folders: Two of the folders show 11/11/24 as the date modified (probably the date of the download from Mozilla). The folder 0dppjrfa.default contains one file, times.json, dated 8/11/2020. The other folder, ru82tlj5.default-release, has 97 items, most dated 11/11/2024. The remaining three folders are all dated 12/2/24 (today, as I write this). One folder’s name ends .default, the second name ends .default-release, and the third name ends .default-release-thirteen digits. The question that I am asking here is what do I do next to, hopefully, bring back the personal date I had with Firefox before my updating to Windows 11. Should I delete the folders dated 12/2/24? What, if anything, is the significance of the folder whose name ends in 13 digits? I’m hoping someone will be able to tell me how to fix these Firefox problems. And if I can, then I hope to be able to do something similar to help me bring back Thunderbird as well. Thunderbird became unfunctioning at the same time as Firefox. Thank you.

After a routine system restart due to display driver crash my Mozilla Firefox ceased to work, displaying a broken link. After some messing around I decided to reinstall the application, but when I did it was an entirely new instance with none of my local saved data (bookmarks, passwords, history etc). I've been able to restore my bookmarks, but not my passwords. I've found the relevant key4.db and logins.json files pertaining to the older intall, but I have no idea how (if possible) to install them, and I assume there would only be a compiled csv if I created it.

Hi, I hope someone can help me. Please note I live in UK and I have a Desktop Computer but do not have a mobile phone. I use Firefox browser. This is what happened over 2 days Thurs and Friday. 28-11-24 THURSDAY @1.38pm On Thursday morning I used my computer with Firefox browser, and it worked perfectly OK. Then I had to go out shopping @11-15am. When I came back in doors @1.38PM I turned on my computer, it booted up as normal, then a Blue Screen appeared, with a message from Microsoft re back up in Cloud. I have not actually used Cloud before, although I did try to set it up earlier this year but not completed. So, I thought I would try again. This time I tried to register for the first time on cloud, I entered my email address and country, date of birth and then a password. Maybe something else, can't remember.
Then it asked for a code number that it said it had sent to my email, but I could not get that email then as I was stuck in between booting up and the Desktop screen. ( I DO NOT HAVE A MOBILE PHONE) As I did not have the code number, I clicked on, what may have said “not now” or similar message. Anyway, it would not continue so I had no option than to press the back button arrow, top left corner, several times. I think it took me back to the page with choices. I think I clicked remind me in a few days, which took me to the Desktop.
Normally my computer automatically opens Firefox Browser, but this time, I had to open Firefox, still no problem so far and the rest of Thursday OK. I did not try Microsoft Cloud again on Thursday.
29-11-24 Friday @ about 10.15am I thought that when I booted up, it may go back to where I left it Thursday, but no. When I turned on, there was no sign of the Blue Screen or Microsoft Cloud message re Back Up. When computer reached the Desktop, it did not load Firefox but an ERROR MESSAGE. It said. ERROR: PLATFORM VERSION "133.0" IS NOT COMPATABLE WITH MINVERSION >= 132.0.2 MAXVERSION <= 132.0.2 MAYBE TRY TO REINSTALL FIREFOX
It worked perfectly well before I tried to set up Microsoft Cloud yesterday (Thurs 28-11-24) now I cannot load or use Firefox at all, because it comes up with the same message every time. I have tried turning the computer off and back on, no luck.
My worry about Reinstalling Firefox is that I have hundreds of websites saved in bookmarks folders and I am not sure if I would lose them.
At this moment I have had to endure Microsoft Edge which I don't like. Don't put me through any more pain. Can you please help out a pensioner lost in the modern technological world. Thank you David

HI! I have my phone synced to my destop firefox, and just synced my laptop, microsoft windows 11.
everytime I want to access a synced page, like gmail, or my trading brokers page, it asks me to login again, so its synced, but have to relogin every time I open the firefox browser, or even when I simply close the tab. I never have to log in repeatedly on the desktop.
Also, my favourite extension Tab Stash, is missing features in this firefox browser. I have tested everything to get it to work, including clearing the cache, restarting. normally you can right click a firefox tab like the attached image, and choose "open Tab Stash in a Tab". and other options. but they dont show in this synced version of the browser. Very weird and frustrating. I must get this to work as I manage hundreds of saved tabs and folders through Tab Stash which is only available on Firefox.
I dont know how to contact the extension creator, I cant see any contact link on his gitHub.

The sync instructions ask if I have FF for mobile, then provide a QR code and give these instructions: 1. Open Firefox on your mobile device. 2. Go to the menu /// on iOS and tap «Sync and save data» 3. Tap «Ready to scan» and hold your phone over this code
There is *no* «Sync and save data» menu item, and I can’t find any other location where I might scan a QR code.

Hello, I've got a bit of an issue with Sync. So, my current sync profile is outdated by ages, and I'd like to delete it completely and update it with all of the information on my desktop browser. But, when I try to enable sync on my desktop it overwrites my desktop profile with all of the outdated information saved on Sync. I can't seem to find anywhere to delete the saved Sync data so that I can upload a new copy.

Hi, I have a laptop i use for work and a PC at home, both use Firefox.
At home I am signed into a FF account, but on my work laptop i've never signed into FF before. I had lots of work-related bookmarks.
I recenlty signed into FF on my work laptop, in order to make sharing tabs to my home PC easier. Now all the local bookmarks I had in FF from before I signed in have been replaced with my bookmarks from my home PC.
How do I recover the bookmarks from before I signed in? Going forward, is there a way to organise different bookmarks on 2 different devices while signed into the same FF account?
