I only use Firefox to play two browser games that both use the 1-5 keys as an alternative to clicking the mouse. Accidentally clicking Ctrl and switching tabs out of nowhere is becoming a really annoying problem, but I don't see any way to just turn off shortcuts and hotkeys like other the other browsers I use. Is there any way to do this? Even a specific extension that makes the Crtl button do nothing would help, the one I was recommended won't download due to a "corruption".

Looking carefully at your documented instructions I have every setting correct except in the outgoing SMTP server I can select connection security to STARTTLS but i do not have the option available for OAuth2 in the drop down list for Authentication?? What do I do as I have updated Thunderbird to the most recent available for my 32 bit version of Linux which is 68.10.0 which it appears cannot connect to my Hotmail mail service. I do have OAuth2 available on server settings strangely enough but not in outgoing SMTP server settings.

Starting Feb 8, 2026 my yahoo accounts no longer work in Thunderbird. I have accessed these for over a dozen years using Thunderbird. In addition, when I open Thunderbird at all I end up getting endless loops of yahoo login messages. The mechanisms in the messages do not work at all. I have received no Yahoo mail since that date. To troubleshoot the issue I tried logging into the accounts directly through Yahoo. Broken, with no access at all to any help resource from Yahoo. Although Yahoo seems to be keeping mum on the problems, there is spotty information online that Yahoo servers were breached a few days ago. One report claimed that user data for about a billion accounts was compromised. I suppose that may explain why my accounts no longer work anywhere- neither from Yahoo itself nor within Thunderbird. Is there a way to disable the incapacitating yahoo popups pending any larger solution to this?

I am experiencing a bug where subfolders do not appear in the "Select folder" screen. In the Bookmarks manager, my folders exist correctly. However, when I try to save a new bookmark, the "Select folder" screen only shows the root "Bookmarks" folder. Even if I tap the ">" icon to expand, the subfolders are not displayed. I accidentally typed my protonmail password into the field of my username/mail address. I don't remember what more I did (propably answered yes to save) but now there is as autofilled my password for username always I open my Protonmail account. I am using Firefox as browser (should be the newest version) while Emailing.
I tried to delete autofill of Firefox according to the next advise: "go to Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll to "Forms and Autofill," and uncheck "Autofill addresses" to stop saving them"
Then I was astonished. There is no "Forms and Autofill" setting on my Firefox at all!
Protonmail settings didn't help either nor Windows 11 - neither FAQ.
