Hello! I just installed F-Fox yesterday and want to delete Google Chrome. However, my husband and I both used Chrome and I would like to add him to Firefox, so his history, passwords, etc can be imported but I don't know how to add his profile to Firefox along with mine.

Please help.

No matter what I've tried, I cannot figure out a way to edit or delete the profile from the new profile manager. Both about:editprofile and about:deleteprofile show up as a blank page (with how it looks on my normal profile for comparison). I have tried deleting the folder multiple times, but the icon still shows up in the manager and clicking it just creates a new profile with the default settings. It also does not appear when using firefox.exe -p. I had previously been using the about:profiles to manage my profiles and wanted to see if I liked the new version (I didn't), hence why I was using it in the first place.) I'm currently using Firefox version 149.0 and Windows 11 on the latest version. I have found no solution that gets rid of it. I would also be fine getting rid of the profile manager UI so it stops bothering me.

Hello- I am having a major problem recovering both emails in my inbox, and more specifically all of my local folders. I am using Windows 11, Pop-3 server. My Local Directory keeps reverting to att-1.net and changes I made to my prefs.js file to eliminate the att-1.net folder and revert to an att-net folder containing all the data are not sticking. I've tried using Claude to diagnose and correct, but that hasn't worked. I am not extremely proficient at this, which is probably part of my problem. Any advice would be welcome.

I have multiple profiles set up with the "old system" ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles ). Now, the new system is available for me, but I can't see an easy way to migrate my existing profiles into the new system.

Hi! I love Firefox, but on updates when my account signs out. I also lose all my Firefox profiles. Even when I sign in again, and sync everything on my Firefox account, I lose my primary and secondary profiles. Whilst it restores my bookmarks and extensions on my account. I lose my bookmarks etc. on my secondary profile.

I'm using FF on both Windows 11 and android, but this problem only effects Windows 11.

This afternoon, I clicked on a link from an email and for the first time got a choose a profile pop-up. I do not want this; I have read info on Mozilla and elsewhere about its purpose but it doesn't say how to just stop the pop-up - there should be an option just stop the pop-up because I don;t want to have to choose amongst options. I have started copy-pasting the links in emails and going to Chrome and will seriously have to reconsider using Firefox of this continues. I don't want to have to type about:config or anything - this should have been an opt out or opt in thing and I want out. Thank you for your help.

I have moved my profile to a different location on the hard drive to make backups easier. How do I tell firefox where the profile is now located. c:\users\med\my data\PROFILES\mozillA\*.deFAUlt

The last time I used Firefox on a desktop (my only personal device right now is my Android phone), I was offered the opportunity to set-up multiple profiles for different types of browsing. I can't find this option in the Android version. Is it available? If not, is it possible perhaps to download it twice? Thanks, Geordi

Help please I want to use "Personal Backup" program to save a backup of data needed to restore thenderbird Using tools>help>trouble shooting>application basics>profile>open folder gives 5 files all ending in .default 3 are 1 KB - can these be deleted? 2 have more folders each with many folders and files- are they both needed? which do I use for backing up with "Personal backup" program? the "Personal Backup" program finds 2 possble profiles defaultuser and default_user, which do I need? I am on the "release update channel"

Believe my T-bird account has somehow been corrupted. Takes forever to load on PC and always puts new emails in Trash folder. Often does not accept correct password. If I save / backup PROFILE, uninstall T-Bird and delete any Thunderbird folders on PC, if I restore per backup, will I be restoring the corrupted app. Don't want to loose email addresses, thousands of emails and email folder structure. Will a restore work? Thank you. Greg D

PS Version of T-Bird on laptop still puts all new email in Trash, but loads much more quickly, etc.

opened firefox saturday and screen was totally different than what i had. guess it updated, but not returned to my profile. have tried to open my profile and succeeded, but can't get it to come on automatically when i open firefox again. how do i open the profile i want and then keep it opened?

I tried to transfer Thunderbird file from old computer to new computer but get "Profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessable." when I start Thunderbird. The old TB file works on old computer and I am pretty sure I copied it and pasted it into the new location in place of the current Thunderbird file.

Hello, i have installed latest TB an try to use it on one PC - This PC is part of company network, users login to windows by domain controller login. there is also a exchange server in the same network. i have created a running and working thunderbird-exchange connection for 2 different users but with the third user its noch working anymore. is there a limit to user accounts on one PC or? It induced me to create a new profile. Then, I lost the old one. Who even knew about profiles? Firefox is now filling in passwords, among other serious setting changes I did not make. This is the worst experience I ever had with a browser. Firefox has been my steady for decades, always dependable and easy to manage. I think we broke up today.

Hello. I recently upgraded from my older MacBook Pro (now factory reset and sold) to a new MacBook Air. I use Thunderbird as my email client and I have many folders that live within my Local Folders. When I transferred all the data from the older Mac to the new Mac via iCloud, and set up my new mail account (IMAP), the folders did not download into the program. I've tried using Subscribe but none of my pre-existing folders show up. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

My toolbar disappeared in January very disappointed because I don't want to take my computer to the fix it man here in town when It was not something I did but rather came with an update.

hi, I'm switching from 1 PC to another. I can download Thunderbird easily, however when I try to open, I get a popup saying profile missing. and I can't open Thunderbird. no idea what happened. any advice please? thank you! Jeff
