Starting about three weeks ago I began receiving the following message when trying to access the above website: Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.kohls.com/" on this server.

Note that the site listed in the error message does not contain the S in https. I manually typed the address with the S and received the same message. I found your correspondence with aprilbrown77 on 8/15/23 and tried all the solutions suggested with no success. I believe Kohls change something on their website 3 weeks ago. My operating system is Windows 7 - 32bit and my Firefox version is 115.33.0esr. I have contacted others using Windows 7 and they all have the same problem. Please update Firefox to resolve the Kohls website issue for the millions of us using Windows 7. Thanks.

For about a month I've had to use Chrome because my bookmarks scramble or become unoperatable, then about 4 days ago they started saving again & all bookmarks worked fine. This lasted about 3 days then went back to becoming dead or wrong (may all say 1 or 2) sites I visit. a restart may lose any new bookmarks, & the rest of my bookmarks are either wrong site or dead links. How do I correct? I have tried new downloads & the new Firefox acts just like the messed up version. Probably a simple setting but I give up, can't find the solution. Any help appreciated. I would like to know how I can control the timing of compacting the mailboxes under Linux and Windows. The reason why I ask is that every time compacting needs to be done, the prompt to do so comes up as soon as the Thunderbird interface finishes loading but before all of the mailboxes are finished updating,which can take several minutes. If I accept the compacting, it inevitably returns an error that it could not run because the mailboxes are still updating. Or I can cancel until I go through this the next time.

It would seem like a simple matter to either give the user a way to delay the compacting process, or have Thunderbird not initiate it until it is safe to do so to begin with.

I have tried to research this but have not found any answers.

I am running windows 10, firefox 148.0.2 (64-bit) and when signing onto amazon.com I am greeted by this annoying pop up. Screenshot attached,

I do not find a need for this pop up and would like to know how to disable it. If you know how, please let me know!

FF is offering up possible login names for a particular site I have used previously even though I have removed all related browsing history, form data, and cookies (and cleared the cache). What am I missing? Is it using stored history for unrelated sites to guess at a user name, or is there some other hidden history I need to clear?

Firefox will only start if I sign in as an administrator. It doesn't connect to the internet, and I can't get to the help screen. I did a refresh but that hasn't help. If I uninstall and then reinstall a new copy correct the problem? How do I save and reinstall my bookmarks and settings? I love Firefox and prefer it over other browsers. But I need to fix it and any help you provide will be very much appreciated. Thank you!

I am experiencing a persistent "ghosting" issue where deleted messages reappear in the "All Mail" folder. Environment: Mac Mini M2, macOS 15.2, Thunderbird 140.7ESR. Configuration: Gmail IMAP with "Auto-Expunge OFF" and "Immediately delete the message forever" selected in Gmail Web settings. Behavior: Using Shift+Delete or emptying the Trash in Thunderbird appears to work locally, but upon restart/re-index, messages return to the "All Mail" folder. Even after 2+ days, a search on the Gmail web interface still reveals the "deleted" items. Issue: The EXPUNGE command does not seem to be successfully committing to the Gmail server in this specific version build. Note that the TB has gone through some major rebuilds from 140.6 back to 128 ESR to 140.7ESR in the period from early Jan till 2 weeks ago. Very recently, TB became once again very slow on a start up, including after rebuilding of the large All Mail file of 66K items. A month ago, I added Satechi with 2TB drive split evenly between Time Machine and Other data. Significant oscillations took place in free memory on the MacHD between 60BG and 10 GB, currently at 58GB. Safari is my browser.

I started using a new laptop and when I receive emails through Outlook, the excel attachments won't open and I get a message saying that I don't have the pdf software. These are Excell files, not PDF. I've tried all the suggestions on-line but they still won't download as Excel files, only Firefox files.

Four accounts: Rogers Yahoo, Office365, GMX, and a second Yahoo account

When Thunderbird recently asked to access to my provider's server, I gave my Rogers Yahoo account and password; everything looked fine. But when I tried to use my second Yahoo email account, all the folders contained the same data as the Rogers Yahoo account, even though the email addresses were different; my original emails were gone from the Inbox and other folders.

So I began to follow the instructions in Mozilla's page "OAuth2 Authentication for Yahoo, AOL and ATT". 1) with Config Editor, changed "mailnews.oauth.usePrivateBrowser" to TRUE 2) checked for "Accept cookies from sites" in Privacy & Security settings 3) checked authentication settings: All Outgoing servers were set to "OAuth2", as well as Yahoo and Office365 incoming servers. The GMX incoming server was set at "Normal Password" with no option for "OAuth2". 4) I am in Canada and do not use VPN. 5) Finally, I deleted the second Yahoo account (tc2002ca) and all its data from Thunderbird. I logged into Yahoo! Mail online to make sure I had the correct password. I then added tc2002ca as a new account using manual configuration. I entered all the settings to match the Rogers Yahoo account, except (of course) the password which was associated with the tc2002ca account. The result: same as before - all the folders of this account were identical to the Rogers Yahoo account.

To summarize, all the settings in the two Yahoo accounts were the same (imap.mail.yahoo.com and smtp.mail.yahoo.com) except the passwords. When I "tested connection to server" in each case it came back "Successful". Please help me get back to having two Yahoo accounts in Thunderbird, as I have had for years. By the way, I have had no problem using SeaMonkey in a similar way. Thanks!

I am using Thunderbird 140.8.0esr (64-bit) on Kubuntu 25.10 multi-monitor configuration. New install, very little customization.

Thunderbird will not retain the window size or position for the main window or messages. I have have tried deleting both the xulstore.json and session.json files (one at a time and both). When I delete the xulstore.json file and restart Thurderbird, it starts maximized. When I set the position manually e.g. to use about 90% of the screen for the main window and about half the width and about 90% of height for a message window and then close Thurderbird I can see the new window size vales written into xulstore.json e.g 2493 x 1362 and 1501 x 1317 "messengerWindow":{"sizemode":"normal","screenX":"0","screenY":"0","width":"2493","height":"1362"} "messengerWindow":{"sizemode":"normal","screenX":"0","screenY":"0","width":"1501","height":"1317"}

When I close and restart thunderbird it reverts to opening in the center of the primary monitor at a smaller size than when I closed it. The values in xulstore.json have changed to 960 x 540 "messengerWindow":{"sizemode":"normal","screenX":"0","screenY":"0","width":"960","height":"540"} "messengerWindow":{"sizemode":"normal","screenX":"0","screenY":"0","width":"960","height":"540"}

I found a similar recent question if this helps with a possible solution: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1527783 but I cannot locate the referenced userChrome.css file to see if there might be something similar to try.

I am also using a multi-monitor setup. If I move the Thunderbird window to the second screen and close it, it always re-opens on the primary display at the 940x540 size. Thanks!

I was able to install it on my Mac mini running OS mountain lion with no problem but This is the error message I keep getting on my IMAC OS10.15.7 Catalina (attached): current browser is safari ver 15.6.1. Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Since the firefox upgrade of March 4, 2026, I have lost all of my old emails in my inbox. These are important items I need to work on before I complete and file away. I need to gain access to them ASAP. Thank you.

I can't get messages from my Thunderbird account. When I click "Get messages" nothing happens and it usually says "Done" on the bottom left corner. I have to use my domain's webmail account to get my e-mail and it only allows me to read it and delete junk.

I really would love to have my Thunderbird account working again as soon as possible.

When trying to access the Princess Cruise website I just keep getting a blank page. Princess says I need to remove extensions. I have read and read and to be honest I am totally confused. Please help.

I keep getting pr_connection_reset_error messages in Firefox version 148.0 64 bit. I have purchased the windows 10 OS with extended updates and am running version 22H2 os build 19045.6937 do you have any suggestions on fixing this problem? When I am in my gmail account and using Firefox and I need to do a password reset that is when I receive the above error message.

I subscribe to a number of RSS feeds in TB. This works well nearly all of the time but sometimes I find that TB has paused updates. I never want it to do this.

Why does it happen and is there a way to stop it doing it?
