Hello,

We have an issue : we reinstalled windows 11 on a machine and thereby lost the account login used to sync Firefox. No way to recover it (we went as far fas as using file recovery tools but no luck).

Is there a way to recover only the account login ? No need for the password. I could provide the IP of the computer in question (it is a professional IP, not shared).

Firefox on macOS. After most recent update, when I open new tabs I get

I went to settings to make sure Firefox Home was the default loaded on New Tabs, which it is. How do I fix this?

I have moved my Thunderbird data from drive C:\xxx\Thunderbird to N:\xxx\Thunderbird. The Thunderbird program remains on "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird" How do I tell Thunderbird to find its data on the N: drive?

After the latest update to Firefox for iOS, I can't open pages with an untrusted SSL certificate. It's a blank page. There's no threat prompt that I can accept to proceed (as before). I use Firefox for iOS primarily to log in to Ubiquiti devices on the local network (address: 192.168.x.x). Everything worked fine until recently. Now it doesn't. I cleared the browser cache, disabled security, and that didn't help. I uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, and that didn't help either. Other iOS browsers (e.g., Brave and Safari) work fine—the untrusted certificate prompt appears, and after accepting the threat, the login screen appears. Please help.

TB crashed so I uninstalled/reinstalled it. As part of the reinstallation, I selected the "load more" value as 1000 more. This was done rather casually and without any consideration. Afterwards, I thought perhaps this might slow Thunderbird down. Is that true? And how do I change "1000 more" to some other value? I've searched extensively but can't find a solution anywhere. I'm running FF v147.2.1 on my iPhone. There is NO translation option in the address bar OR in settings. It was supposed to be introduced in v146. Why is it not available despite having a version that is supposed to have the feature?

When I opened up my Firefox this evening, I was greeted by a message stating that I now had access to Firefox VPN with version 150. When I opened up the link showing me how to activate it, I noticed I never got a popup on my browser stating to turn it on. Later when going through the instructions it recommended I try to add it from my toolbar but it was not there either. I am not sure if this was a bug or not but I am really excited for this feature and would love to test it out as soon as possible!🫶

My problem is exactly what the title says. After I clear my history, Firefox still suggests me websites (not in my bookmarks). In the settings, when "search browsing history" is enabled, I get suggested some websites I used in the past even after clearing all time history. If I disable "search browsing history", then only the websites are not suggested. I already cleared everything like site data and cookies, all time browsing history etc.

I've attached 2 Screenshots: First screenshot is of the "search browsing history" setting. Second screenshot is of the search suggestion. There are 2 markings which mean: 1. (Main Problem) The suggested website by Firefox, which shouldn't appear after history cleanup. (It doesn't appear when the setting is off.) 2. This suggested website is different and in my bookmarks and is not a problem. (I am only mentioning it because I know the concerning website is not in my bookmarks.)

I use same sync account for Windows and Android and I don't have this problem on Windows. What should I do? Thank you for your time.

I've now got 2 VPNs. One's called Proxy VeePN (that's how it spells it!) and the other one's your new one.

Proxy VeePN lets me use Pandora Music. Your one doesn't. Pandora can tell I'm in England on your one, it can't with Proxy VeePN (it thinks I'm in Switzerland, pretty sure.)

Why doesn't your one work with Pandora? I haven't tried it with anything else yet but then I really only use a VPN for Pandora Music anyway. Sometimes there's a couple of American games I play, but mainly Pandora. Why is it Proxy VeePN works with Pandora and yours doesn't?

Chris, Windows 10 user cos I can't afford to buy a new computer that works with Windows 11 (I know there's a registry hack but I don't think this one's fast enough anyway, was designed for XP and tends to die a death with 10, let alone 11! Too slow. The computer, not its owner!)

It used to be that when entering a search term in the search bar, you could use the arrow keys to select the search engine before pressing enter to make the experience entirely from the keyboard. Now, one must use the mouse to select the engine to be used. It also does not revert to the default search engine after executing the search.

I attempted to set *browser.urlbar.scotchBonnet.enableOverride* to false, and that did not work. I noticed that I had been involuntarily enrolled in an experimental study: Address Bar Update Rollout v1•rollout Address Bar Experience Update which may be the cause of this unwelcome behavior change. If exiting out of that study is possible to restore the previous functionality, please advise how to achieve this.

Please advise how to bring back this work flow efficiency.

I have a new mac, an M4 mini, and I set up Firefox the way I want it (the biggest ask has always been getting a bookmark to open in a new tab). Two days in, sometimes a bookmark opens in a new tab, and sometimes it doesn't. I have nothing else set up except for an ad blocker. I have not changed my OS from Sequoia to Tahoe yet, I strategically delay. It's not the end of the world. But I had strange things happen with Firefox on my other mini (an M2) in the last 6 months and I had to abandon Firefox and use Safari, which I hate. But that's a whole other topic. I've used Firefox forever, and it's my fave, and little things like this bug me. What am I missing? I set the option to False, and then reset it to True, and sometimes it works as it's supposed to, and sometimes it doesn't. So to not overwrite an open tab that has something important, I just automatically click on the 'command' key when selecting the bookmark. It's staying on my selection to 'true' and I've set it to false and then set it back to true, and restart Firefox, and I still get inconsistent results. There's nothing else that could be conflicting with this. I don't get it. Like I say, Firefox on my other mini just totally became unreliable and I had to use Safari. Any ideas? Thanks!

After installing Mozilla on my mobile phone and syncing with my laptop all my bookmarks and history are GONE from my laptop. When attempting to restore them, following your suggested instructions, no dates appear when clicking the restore function. Deleted Mozilla from my mobile phone, still no good. Do I need to recreate all my bookmarks again?! How? When attempting to bookmark a new site it does NOT bookmark! No new history is showing either! Very disappointing, should I just return to windows again after years and years with Mozilla? Andrew S

Love Firefox by the way... So, autocomplete in the search bar is often helpful, don't get me wrong, but it redefines the delete/backspace key to be context-sensitive. Now, sometimes it does what I expect and backs up one, erasing the character I just typed. However when autocomplete ghost text is present, that same key removes the ghost text only, leaving the character I'm intending to remove. This is enormously inconvenient as I now must watch to see what autocomplete is doing and adjust my behavior to comply. Were I designing I would not make the delete key dual purpose context sensitive, instead I would do both at the same time! Delete what I just typed and remove the ghost text. Safari started this, I complained and of course got no response. Subsequently I noticed the same behavior in Firefox. My suggestion, request, is that search delete key behavior not be decided for me. Either make this Safari behavior a settings option, by default is OK, so that I can choose, or (my preference) delete both ghost and previous character with a single keystroke! I just want Thunderbird to show remote images automatically without me clicking the button. Just show all images. The setting you ask me to change does not exist.

Everything has been fine for several years but this morning I now get error: TB could not connect to server mail.twc.com, the connection was refused. Spectrum says everything is good on their end. What do I have to do to "fix" Thunderbird? I can't send or receive any emails from 5 accounts with Spectrum and the emails are there when I log in at WebmailSpectrum.net..

While launching Firefox VPN browser all of my bookmarks were erased. Additionally, my backup copy of my bookmark records was also deleted. I have not been able to reboot or restore the system. I need help.
