Greetings from southern Germany, near Lake Constance :-)

I have issues since a few months that Firefox loads website only when I actively click on the app and put in foreground. Then the tabs start loading. Why is that?

After startup of Windows 10, I usually run a little batch script of mine starting various applications such as Outlook, Notepad++ etc, including Firefox along with my favourite websites, just like this:

start "" "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Firefox.lnk" https://de.wikipedia.org https://www.google.de [and more...]

So Firefox loads and opens all the tabs in the background, while other apps such as Outlook or Notepad++ come in the foreground. I read mails etc. before I decide to check e.g. Wikipedia. So it might take 5 minutes after Firefox got opened before I actively put it in the foreground. THEN I see no websites got loaded, and THEN Firefox starts to load the websites, which then takes the normal amount of time of a few seconds.

I wonder why Firefox does not load all my requested websites directly after start in the background.

An annoying side effect is, when still in Outlook and clicking on a website link in an email, it won't open in Firefox, most likely due to that reason that Firefox still waits for all the other websites to load. I need to put it into foreground, wait for the loading process to complete, and then go back to the email and click on the link again.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I am using latest of Firefox and DuckDuckGo. When I type something in the main search bar (in the middle of screen) the text moves to the search field in the toolbar area. I find this annoying. I want to text to remain in the main search bar (middle of screen). Any solution?

There are a bunch of obsolete suggestions on opening FF without address bar, menu bar, etc., and kiosk mode.

I do not want Kiosk mode, but do need ability to open it via command line so that only the title bar (and borders around the app.

The most current available entry on the matter in the Mozilla site no longer works (at least for me) --

firefox.exe" -ssb https://www.example-site.html/

Also even if it did, not viable to update all FF users as these are customers, and they won't, simple as that. Chromium browsers just work by passing the command by default.

This is for use to launch a local help/users guide from a Windows application. Can do so on Chrome/Edge, but leaving out FF is less than ideal.

Just installed latest version of Firefox - and cannot login into the browser to enable applications menu.

I can login into my Mozilla account but how do you login to this new version of the browser?

I have used Firefox exclusively for years. I use Hushmail but recently I am missing the respond to email bar that was always there. I have to use Edge and Chrome (but not a fan of) and Hushmail works like it used to. Something about Firefox must be the difference. Can you help me?

I refreshed Firefox last night. Now, Facebook doesn't display images--it displays about half; the rest are blank boxes. Facebook closes while I'm typing. A game I've been playing freezes and I have to close it and re-open it. Telus email seems to be fine. My Google results are in massive type and I can't adjust it.

I have had the option "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" selected for some time, because when FF auto-updates my system becomes unstable. Despite that version 126.0.1 (64-bit) was automatically installed. Which I only found out about because after causing FF to freeze, and basically crashing the work I was doing, and forcing me to kill the task with task manager, I get the "FF is installing your update and will start in a few minutes" at restart.

After looking thru the help forums I have set app.update.background.enabled and app.update.background.scheduling.enabled to false. (They were both true despite the setting selected.)

Two things:

1. I DO want to be notified when updates are available. I just don't want them to happen at your convenience. Will I still be notified of updates with these config parameters set to false?

2. If you have a setting that says "Don't Update" and I select that option, you should not update. There is clearly a problem somewhere.

I am trying to login to my Mozilla account so that I can backup my data and move it onto a new computer. However, even though Sync is activated, I cannot find my Mozilla Firefox password anywhere and am unsure of what it is. Is there anyway that someone who works at Mozilla can give me access to my password?

I am happy to verify my identity and prove that this is indeed my account, but I am not sure of how to go about doing so. I really need access to all of my data, and would be highly thankful for any assistance regarding this matter.

After rebooting a Windows 10 computer, and starting Firefox, two Firefox Windows open. The second one opens Yahoo on it's Tab with no other Tabs open. Before booting, there was only one Firefox window open. This has happened before in the past.

Could this be fixed.

I have also reported several times that at times, Bookmark folders are found missing but found in strange places where I did NOT move them. I have been told that this could be possibly caused because of my very large Bookmark file. It would be very nice if this was resolved. I have reported this at bugzilla.mozilla.org.

As per subject. When i click a Mailto link in a webpage, eMClient opens OK, but message window does not. Seems to be a Firefox problem because it works fine in Chrome. I've checked the Firefox and Windows (10) settings; all seems as it should be. Any suggestions? Thanks.

My internet has 750mb of bandwidth. Updated 64bit Firefox can only provide 320mb. I installed Chrome and the internet went to 800mb. What could be slowing down internet speed in Firefox? I restored Firefox, restarting everything. I did the same with Windows 10. I restored it to an earlier date. It didn't improve anything. What to do ?

When I start FireFox most times the browser comes up then stops and restarts with a pink color on the web address line. I have tried making changes in settings but I can not find a setting for this. If I restart Firefox right after this happens, I cn search or browse without the Pink address line. Why is this happening. It would be nice if FireFox technicians would respond to help questions instead of sending questions to a forem...

Please help me to understand why I keep getting the 'Gah! Your tab just crashed' message. This only started a couple of weeks ago, but is extremely annoying and makes me doubt the integrity of Firefox. The problem can be circumvented (at least for a while) by closing and re-opening Firefox, but I'd prefer not to have to keep doing this.

I have been using Firefox as my preferred browser on Windows 10 Home and Pro systems for a considerable time and have recommended it to many Windows and Android users.

Windows 10 Home ver 10.0.19045 has recently been unable to access many well-known websites due to

Secure Connection Failed - An error occurred during a connection to <website's https url> PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR.

There are multiple reports of this problem from 2023 up into 2024 in Mozilla support and across the web, but no solutions. Curiously all of the problem reports mention Firefox not any other browser. Suggestions to try multiple fixes, but none have resolved the problem.

One posting on Mozilla Support marked RESOLVED says the problem mysteriously went away for that user. Lots of people still seem to be having this problem, so how about a fix.

It was working fine and now the past few days I can no longer login to my Fastmail.com account other than from my Windows 7 pc

So no one including Firefox can email me

I can no longer connect to X ray images using your browser. The links are in EPIC. The X ray system is eUnity. If I can no longer connect I will have to switch browsers.
