Sometimes when I restart, all the app tabs I have pinned disappear and I need to recreate them.
This seems to happen on my newer laptop (Windows 7) when I had more than one browser open and am not careful to close the one with the app tabs last. I try to remember this, but inevitably I sometimes forget I had another browser open. I don't think it happens on my older desktop (XP), but I'm not sure. Either way, it would be nice if Firefox could remember to restore any app tabs when reopened, regardless. Thanks!

Use File > Exit to avoid problems caused by forgotten windows.
App (pinned) tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data in the file sessionstore.js in the Firefox profile folder.

You can make a backup of that file with only the App Tabs open.
