Saving favorite bookmarks or websites

I cannot save a website anymore by clicking on the STAR in the search bar? I was able to do this before an update, can you tell me how to fix this?

So what update on what OS and have you tried the ctl+D ?

Yes & Yes. It was working before an update happened.

I have tried refreshing firefox also.
