T/B opens in options rather than in box. This has just started occurring. Have tried Forum suggestions, inc checking new messages at start up, checked advanced features and all are correct. I note some suggest disabling all updates but am reluctant to do that.

TB should open in the same tab or folder that was open at last closing. If not, Help/Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder, close TB, delete session.json. To have TB open in a specific folder, no matter the one that was open at last closing, use this add-on:

TB should open in the same tab or folder that was open at last closing. If not, Help/Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder, close TB, delete session.json. To have TB open in a specific folder, no matter the one that was open at last closing, use this add-on:
