Hi all,

Recently, everytime I go to download a file, firefox is sending my download to my "temp/local" file and I can't retrieve my downloads. I don't think I changed anything on my laptop, it seems that one day - it just switched to sending my downloads to my temp/local folder.

Does anyone know what is going on and how I can return this back to letting me "Open the file" and then "saving" it to my desktop - like I previously was doing?

I've been on google checking everything...but I felt like I wasgoing down a rabbit hole and changing this and that - and I'm afraid it might make things worse.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

Kelly

Hi Kelly, when Firefox displays the download dialog with the Open/Save/Cancel choices, it starts downloading to the Temp folder in the background. If you choose Save, Firefox moves the file. If you choose Open, Firefox keeps the file in the Temp folder. Does that match up with what you are seeing?
