Repeating printer option prevents browsing
While browsing news media the printer option starts popping up and will not stop. It can be held back for a short while by opening another tab but soon starts up again. I am running iOS 14.2 on an Air 2 iPad.

Further information. This only happens when using Firefox as the browser, Safari seems unaffected. It can be controlled after a fashion by leaving Firefox once the pop ups start then returning to close the tab affected. I’ve also been having trouble with Firefox on my desktop since downloading OSX Catalina with the browser freezing then crashing.
Perhaps one of these solutions will correct the problem.

Thanks. Your suggestion may well work in the desktop version of Firefox but it has no effect in the iOS version for iPad.
What happens if you browse with the printer turned off?
That’s the thing, the printer is only turned on when I’m ready to use it so 99% of the time it is off.
