Hello i installed thunderbird and configured my emails, and now it started download emails from first usasge, it really lose my BW, i dont want them, i just want it start getting email from now, its possible?

If it's an IMAP account, change the setting under Tools/Account Settings/accountname/Synchronization & Storage/Disk Space, "Synchronize the most recent" X days.

if you mail provider has some sort of recent flag to set then yes. Google do.

Otherwise your paying for not maintaining your email by deleting and filing old mail.
