I'd love to use Trello within Thunderbird. It would be great to have my mail, calendar, and Trello boards all in one place. I though I had the solution when I installed the plugin G-Hub Pro, which allows to add custom links buttons that open like new tabs. That has worked great to get the actual Hangouts in Thunderbird, for instance. However, I am having difficulties with the Trello site. When I first open the Trello site all is normal and I can log-in. But after the first log-in, I get a blank screen with a blue ribbon on top (see screenshot). In fact I think that Thunderbird "thinks" that the page loaded just fine, but that Thunderbird is not able to show the information properly. Any advice? I am guessing that this would be a very simple fix, but I don't know how to do it!

Thanks a lot! Daniel.

Capability for using Trello in Thunderbird is only provided by add-ons, so you will need to ask the maker(s) of said add-ons for help with them.

I'm not sure how G-Hub Pro gives you access to Trello, since they don't seem to be connected, but here is the webpage for G-Hub Pro, so you can go there for help with that add-on.

Or perhaps a different Thunderbird add-on for Trello will work better. Someone made a list these add-ons: https://addons.mozilla.org/EN-us/thunderbird/collections/RonRea/trello-addons/

Keep in mind that if you view that webpage in Firefox, to install one of those add-ons you will need to right-click the "Download Now" button and "Save Link As". Save the .xpi file to your computer, then from the Add-ons Manager in Thunderbird, click the gear icon and choose "Install add-on from file.

Hi Bruce, thanks a lot for your quick response.

I have contacted G-Hub developer but still got no answer. However, G-Hub just let's you insert personalized links into Thunderbird, but adds no other capabilities. Browsing is integrated into Thunderbird natively, as far as I understand, and that's how you can, for instance, browse through the plug-in repository from within Thunderbird.

That's why I think that there should be some easy way to configure that integrated browser in order to be able to visualize Trello boards correctly. It's probably something very simple... if you know how to do it! :)

Thanks also for the plug-in suggestions, I had explored those, but they only work with Firefox, not Thunderbird.

Regards, Daniel.

I know nothing about trello. But my guess is it uses a plugin like flash that is disabled in Thunderbird for security reasons.
