When I click on links from FB, or also just when I'm looking at blogs, sometimes photos and videos fail to show. I can't figure out what settings on my Kaspersky anti-virus program to change to make this problem go away. I'm using google on Firefox, since I don't like Google chrome. Can anyone help me please?

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

Thanks for your suggestion, Philipp. The problem seems to disappear when I launch in safe mode. How can I tell which add-on to disable?

i'd try to disable those two in particular first since they obviously include the functionality to block web content: Anti-Banner 4.0.10.15 (anti_banner@kaspersky.com) Dangerous Websites Blocker 4.0.10.15 (content_blocker@kaspersky.com)

in addition you have a user.js file present in your profile which shouldn't be there under normal circumstances (unless you have manually created that file), and may cause problems. so also try this: go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "show folder", then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named user.js (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.

Thank you, Phillipp! I still can't get one link to work, but I've come to the conclusion that it is the fault of the link. Thanks for letting me know about the user.js file.

I have to admit I didn't find a way to disable Kaspersky's Dangerous Website Blocker, but I did the Anti-Banner.
