If I try to load this specific website in Firefox: https://nieuw.totaalvers.nl

Nothing happens. No error, just ... nothing. This has been confirmed on both Windows and Linux, and on different PCs altogether.

For reference, I'm currently testing on Firefox 47 for Ubuntu.

I don't even know what to do or what other details to provide. Any ideas on how to proceed?

Thanks, this helped me get to the root cause of the problem.

This appears to be a problem with the SSL configuration for this particular website. If I use SSL Labs to analyse it, Firefox 45 and 46 fail with this error:

Server negotiated HTTP/2 with blacklisted suite

This was because the web server used default (weak) ciphers which Firefox refuses to use. I suppose the fact we don't get any error messages is a bug in Firefox, but it seems that has been fixed in newer versions.

Protip for any server admins dealing with these problems: https://mozilla.github.io/server-side-tls/ssl-config-generator/

The weirdest part is Firefox is showing that there is no response from server, yet it's not trying to reconnect or anything like that!

FF48 shows NS_ERROR_NET_INADEQUATE_SECURITY error and FF49 and FF50 opens website just fine.

My guess would be the site uses unknown to pre-FF49 encryption protocol?

And there's no "source code" to view - no contextual menu at all, which is another indication of nothing at all getting sent to Firefox. Using Firefox 38.7.1 ESR on Win7.

On PaleMoon 26.2.2 - Gecko-based similar to an ancient version of Firefox. https://nieuw.totaalvers.nl/inloggen - loads for me.

Vivaldi 1.0.219.50 (Developer Build) (32-bit) - I get this. This webpage is not available

ERR_SPDY_INADEQUATE_TRANSPORT_SECURITY
