When I try to use my headset microphone on a website, an error message say that Firefox has disabled it or another program is using it.

I use a headset microphone to record 30 second voice messages on a chat room on a dating service. The first time I want to record in a session, an "allow" message come up and I press "allow". It records my message and I press send. An error window opens and says the microphone is being used by another program or my browser has disabled it. Until now, I did not have any problems. This website is the only place I have used my mic.
