Username and password to what?

This issue is with THUNDERBIRD...duh, sorry about that. Now I've noticed that when I click on "Sign In" that I am redirected to you support sight, I would guess if I ever get signed in that that will be resolved (I hope).

Anyway...pls continue.

Where is this "sign in" link you're using? It can't in Thunderbird. Nor is the "forget address" link. And you're successfully posting here, so your problem doesn't seem to be with this particular site.

Please, what are you trying to do, what do you expect to happen, and what happens instead?

Thank you for trying to help. The site is Thunderbird...not this support site. The issue is that when I go to sign in to Thunderbird (which I haven't had to do for a long time, and it seems to be a requirement now with this latest update) and I try to use the forgot username option - the message was something about how to reset the password was sent to your (my) email address. The problem is that I never got the message in my email and I am unable to get into Thunderbird because I can't remember my username or password. I have a number of useful items in my address book there and now I can't get there.

I hope this is now clearer and someone can help with this.

I can't think of a Thunderbird "site" that a normal user would need to "log in" to. Please post the URL of the mysterious site you're trying to get into. The labels you previously mentioned are unfamiliar to me, so I'm not at all sure where you're trying to go.

Here's what I see (attached) when Thunderbird needs an email login from me. No mention of "login" or "forgot username".

Thunderbird is an application, a program installed and running on your computer. It is not a website.

You are correct. I clicked on my Thunderbird icon and it brought up what was new in this latest update. All this time I was on the support site, thinking it was the Thunderbird site. I clicked on something in the upper right and finally got into Thunderbird...no sign in there. I'm sorry for all this. Consider the problem solved.
