Outlook.com email menu commands for New, Reply, Reply All, and Forward are sometimes non-responsive to cursor clicks in Windows 10 / Firefox 42.0. Commands for Delete and Move To are not affected. I can navigate to the folders (Inbox, Sent, deleted, and user-created folders), and I can open and view a message by clicking on it. The problem is intermittent, and seems to spontaneously correct itself after several hours but I can't determine if there is anything I do that corrects it. It is happening just now. Logging off and logging back in does not correct the problem. The problem, when it is occurring, affects two separate accounts on the same device.

I currently use Outlook.com as well. I do not experience this issue.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu, choose History, and then "Clear Recent History...".
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the "Clear Now" button.

Further information can be found in the Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox article.

Would you like to try an alternative?

Windows Live Mail is part of Windows Live Essentials

This is a browser only for e-mail sites.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
