Hi,

My browser has been crashing daily, often multiple times a day (see attached image) for a few months now. I've tried re-installing Firefox and I'm using the latest version. Can you help me?

Thanks

Hello,

In order to better assist you with your issue please provide us with a screenshot. If you need help to create a screenshot, please see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?

Some of your crash reports weren’t sent to the Mozilla Servers.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it and select Submit.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

Hi,

I've uploaded an image of recent crash reports. Here are the top ~10:

I have also disabled some plugins on my browser from Adobe and Microsoft for Mac to see if they might've been the culprits.

Thanks.

I am not sure how to force submission of the reports that weren't submitted due to throttling (those without the BP prefix). If I click on them, I get sent to the "About Throttling" page with no option for submission. I've submitted all the other reports.

I haven't had a crash since I disabled some of these ^plugins yesterday. I'm hoping it stays this way.

Okay, don't worry about those

Fred I am not sure what the eta is for this patch since they are top crashers for a branch of Firefox that has already be released. I will ask crashkill and post back.

FYI, the crashes haven't stopped:

js::jit::AssemblerX86Shared::processCodeLabels js::jit::AssemblerX86Shared::bind(js::jit::Label*) nsHtml5TreeOperation::Perform(nsHtml5TreeOpExecutor*, nsIContent**)

Seems like it's Firefox and not the plugins that are the problem.

You can check for issues caused by plugins and set plugins to "Ask to Activate" on the "Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" page.

  • plugins are not affected by Firefox Safe Mode

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
