When ever I try to do anything with last pass, the crash report window pops up. Not sure, but this seemed to start when firefox changed something, adding "save to pocket" icon at top of screen. Might just be coincidence. Would like to get last pass working again. Have tried to reinstall last pass a few times. This gives me the icon at the top, but again upon trying to log in, Firefox crashes. Thanks

Hi, I doubt if this is causing the problem, but you can try removing Pocket by: Right click on the Pocket button in the toolbar > Remove from Toolbar - that will remove it from bookmarks and the toolbar, but it will still be in the menu. To also remove it from there, you then need to type about:config into the address bar, press Enter, accept the warning, scroll down to browser.pocket.enabled and double click to change 'Value' from True to False, taking care not to alter anything else. Then restart Firefox.

Updating Firefox to 41 might help: Open the 3-bar menu > Help (question mark at bottom right) > About Firefox.

You could also make sure that Last Pass is up to date, and maybe look at any settings.

A crash report may also throw something up, so you can follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Thanks for the response. Reports do not have bp. But yesterday last pass started working again. Lets hope this stays working. But have another quick question. Now every time I open Firefox, I get a second tab at the top for extensions. How can I stop that from opening every time I open Firefox. A small annoyance. Thanks again.

Hi, it is possible to set more than one home page, so please see - How to set the home page, and make sure that 'Home Page' only contains either the Firefox start page (about:home), or your preferred home page, and not about:preferences which is the extensions page. Alternatively, you can click on Restore to Default.

Hope that answers your question.

Can't believe it. Did a restore as you described, and the tab at the top does not come on, but now cannot access Last Pass again. Every time I try now, as before, get a crash window report. What might have changed when I did the restore to default?

Thanks for all your input. Did not do anything a couple days ago, and Last Pass started working again. What might be changing on its own? Thanks again.
