I've been using firefox since age, whether it's in windows, mac or since recently linux mint platform. But I've been stumped by this Lipikaar extension. For a project I've been asked specifically to use Lipikaar for typing in Hindi, Marathi or Gujarati. For these languages I've been successfully using Gmail's in-built phonetic version for more than 2/3 years.

This Lipikaar extension I tried first on Linux & then in win7. It does install without any hassles but when it comes to actually using it, that's where the problem begins. I'm simply unable to activate it, though from extension panel it shows - its active & running - but when one begins to type - it's still English.

In the troubleshooting info - it says one has to activate it from the status bar icon. I've tried everything for it to no avail. I find the Lipikaar concept very helpful. I would sure want to use that but for that if I've to resort to use 'internet explorer' I'll be very ashamed to do so - for I rate IE as the worst explorer ever.

Please help me stay loyal to firefox Thanks
