second time asked pay attention and answer the question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how does one stop private browsing and then when wanted reset back to private simple question now answer

Opening a new private window (via any method, keyboard shortcut or the button in the burger menu) will show the History sidebar for a very short while, then it disappears. This is very annoying as when I type the cursor is no longer automatically focused in the address bar.

I recently discovered that macOS Screen Time is reporting my Firefox usage under the name “Firefox: Private, Safe Browser.” and just the name "Firefox". My family is suspecting that I am using private model for the screen time of "Firefox". However, I have never used Private Browsing mode.

This mislabeling is causing misunderstandings at home, as it appears I’m hiding something, which I am not. Could this be a misclassification by macOS, or is there something in Firefox’s app packaging that triggers this name?

I would greatly appreciate any clarification or assistance. Thank you.

I tested on my Mac again today. Even though I am using Firefox Private Mode, I only have one screen time usage, just called "Firefox: Private, Safe Browser".

Despite turning all the ones I could find off, YouTube keeps preventing me from playing videos in my main browser saying I can't watch with adblockers on. So I've been opening all these tabs in private browsers. Wednesday night into Thursday morning I was playing a song I'd found but when the computer restarted it didn't reopen that page. Is there a way to find a private browser window I had open?

Browser pages: Private pages. and non Private pages How do I setup my browser pages from ONLY.... PRIVATE back to NON-PRIVATE pages and/or switch to one type, then back to the other normal pages?

With the pervasive cookie tracking nowadays, I would like to consent to all cookie requests that continually pop up asking for more information but now I must adjust accordingly and use Private Tabs more info so I need a feature that can let me use Private and Normal tabs in the same window, at Firefox.

I don't understand why a page is not opening in normal windows, but it opens in private windows. I have tried to clear the cache, but I still have the same problem. Not all URLs have this issue; just some of them.

i was having a firefox file not installed in my desktop but i can open the browser it was in privet browsing by default if i close it it will restart firefox and back as normal i install firefox from the web but this time i cant change my search history (never remember)

Due mostly to upgrades in the app software, it's necessary to restart Firefox on occasion. Also, it's necessary due to OS upgrades. While the Restore Previous Session is a wonderful feature, it arbitrarily (and properly, by default) forgets all of the Private Tabs. But, there are times when I'd like to save some or all of the Private Tabs I've got open. A 'settable' feature to 'Remember Private Tabs during Restart' would be a tremendous asset at times.
