Upon the last update (v.83), my favourite Flash golf game "World Golf Tour" ceased to work.
The makers of the game have already taken steps to move to a different platform on January 1st ... but the existing Flash version still works perfectly ... until YOU came along!
Your so-called "update" made it impossible to even load World Golf Tour's menu screen - I heard the music, but the graphics were frozen.
I'm no Sherlock - but this problem only occurred when Firefox updated.
It took me ages to downgrade back to v.82.3 - but WGT loaded perfectly when I did it.
Proving that it's YOUR fault! So don't give me this "most problems are caused by other peoples' software" stock answer crap.
I WILL upgrade to the latest version of Firefox on January 1st, not one second before.
Is there any way I can turn off the "Download Firefox Update Reminder" until then?
It's really annoying.

I have tried updating to newer versions of Firefox beyond 82.0.3, Refreshing Firefox, Removing and reinstalling Firefox and after I do these my video driver fails and recovers when a web page loads in Firefox. No other apps I am running cause the failure. Only Firefox. Firefox works OK on 82.0.3. Windows report of failure is Problem Event Name: LiveKernelEvent Code: 141

When I add a bookmark Firefox puts it in either "Other Bookmarks" or "Bookmarks Menu". Having to hunt in two places for new bookmarks is infuriating. How do I get the programmers to add an option in about:config to remove or disable "Other Bookmarks" so that new bookmarks are just added to "Bookmarks Menu" like they should in a normal world?

I have used sync for long on several devices and different operating systems (Win 7, Win 10, IOS) in parallel. Most interesting and useful is for me synchronisation of the toolbars with Bookmarks. It worked fine up to today. Today I opened Firefox and found my bookmarks as they were about two years ago. Oops... so I tried to synchronize but failed. No changes were applied to my bookmarks. I assume, my bookmarks are also being stored on several other devices I used for Firefox. However the newest sinchronization on the mozilla server does not contain the accurate valuable data. How can I manage to save sync data from a destinct device to the sync server and determine that as the current data set to be valid for synchronization with all my other devices? In other words: set the direction for synchronization. I did not find this option on my current (82.0.3 (64-Bit)) installation. Could anybody help me? Thanks Juergen

Since about a week or so ago late October or early November 2020, Gmail will not load in Firefox.
I began having this problem about a week ago. Sometime in October or early November of 2020. Gmail will not load in Firefox. Clearing cookies and all cache, works one time. Then it starts all over. Resting also works, just once. This is a giant PITA. I have to reset or clear the cache every time I use Firefox or Gmail won't load. It works fine on all other browsers. If I want to use Firefox for Gmail, I have to reset it or clear it every time I start Firefox. I have to go back to Chrome to use my Gmail.

I use Firefox 82.0.2 (64-Bit) on Windows 10 and Foxit Reader 10.0.1.35811 for reading PDF files. In the FF settings I set the handling of PDF documents to "Open with Foxit Reader 10.0". Once I have done that and click on a PDF file I will be asked what to do with the PDF and I confirm again to open it with Foxit.
That usually works for the moment but FF will always forget this setting again. I have configured FF to use Foxit at least five times over the last days days. But the next day FF will just download the PDF file again and do nothing with it (not even ask me what to do with it).
Any help is much appreciated.

I got an error on one of my open or pinned tabs (do not recall which it was). I do not recall what the error was and did not screenshot it because I was sure that closing Firefox and restarting it would fix the issue. I did just that, closed Firefox and reopened it to find that ALL of my pinned and open tabs were GONE. This also happens if another instance of Firefox is opened and I close my main one first by accident and then close the other Firefox instance - ALL TABS LOST.
This is what I have done: • I started to restore the pinned tabs as I could remember what they were but I was not able to remember the open tabs that were not pinned • I searched for lost tabs on the web and on the Mozilla support site but was not able to find any useful help - most of it seems outdated or no long compatible with my version of Firefox. • I looked for the sessionrestore files on my local PC but could not find them - this must have changed in some version of Firefox between version 42 and version 82 that I have. • I looked in the AddOn store to find something that would help restore and prevent this issue - but found nothing. A very old post, from 2012, indicated one that did this but it is no longer available. • All of the Options in Firefox to restore previous session, reopen previous tabs and all that were blank.
This is VERY frustrating in that it results in lots of down time to recreate what was open and is equivalent to working on a document for days or weeks only to find out that the Microsoft file got corrupt or did not save properly.
I am using Firefox version 82.0.2 (64-bit).
Two questions: 1/ Is there any way I can get the pinned and open tabs back from the previous session? 2/ What can I do to avoid this issue EVER happening again.
Thanks!!!!

I am now seeing the new Firefox print screen when I try to print something from a webpage, but there is something critical missing from that screen. What happened to the "Simplify Page" option?? That, to me, was an incredibly valuable option within Firefox, given that I have to do a lot of printing from websites. Is that option now hidden somewhere in the new print screen, or has it been removed? For me, given what I do, that option is something of a deal-breaker. If Firefox has removed it, I may have to begin using a different browser.

Is there a way to change the color of the tab bar background. I typically have several windows open, different windows for different accounts, and I'd like to color code the tab bars to make them more easily recognizable. Also, a black background makes it hard to discern a window when it's partially covered against a dark screen image.
I recently reset my Firefox browser, and the bookmarks are gone. Is it possible to retrieve them ?

On four occasions during the past three months, Amazon has refused my log in to their site, stating that I've not used the correct password. When this occurs, I look at my 'password box' and can see that the number of characters (the black dots) are of a far greater number than the number of characters in my current password by more than 200. When I go to 'Security' in Firefox to view my password, it has indeed changed to a random selection of 200 plus characters. When I erase these characters and retype my original password, Amazon will accept the change and I can log in.
My question: Although I don't expect anyone to know why Amazon is doing this, I'm baffled as to how Firefox can be manipulated by Amazon so as to change my password.
Has anyone experienced this and is there any advice? I'm hopeful that an actual Amazon tech will have a response to this as well as the community.
Thank you,
Placerville
