How do I get back a previous session of Firefox (windows)? Firefox froze up. I restarted my computer. Now my session in Firefox doesn't show up at all in 'History'. Isn't there a way to recover a previous session?? I've never had this issue before and had a lot of important tabs in that session that would take many hours to try and find in my complete history from all links.....

Hi,

I noticed that in the last update, Firefox displays the list of login information options, in auto-fill mode, in alphabetical order and not according to the most appropriate address. For example, I get an authentication window for articles vpn.xyz. The first alternative I get is related to the address teach.abc (which does not fit at all) while the alternative for the address vpn.xyz appears in sixth place.

Thanks

Few days ago, some of our clients and few (not all) internal PC are get stucked on a PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR on our website. Only on 117 windows version (118 developer version and 119 nightly seems ok). We tried to repair firefox, it works on 95% but we can't ask our client to do this. It works on Chrome & Edge.

We running out of ideas : - we only accept TLS 1.2 / 1.3 - checking CSP - Both IIS and Apache are not working - Firewall are not blocking

Many websites I use on a regular basis have become unusable on firefox which i have used for over a decade. I can't change my Flickr cover photo because the pop up window is too huge, can't view a complete google doc because the thing is enormous, etc. The issue is that I MUST have the ability to set text in firefox to larger and I do so via the view - zoom in and zoom text only options. I have to have this ability because I have a visual disability. I do not have this issue using chrome but I detest chrome and want to keep using firefox, but entire portions of windows are cut off when they open up and I can't access them by zooming out either. The only thing that changes is the text gets so small that it is totally unreadable. This is a HUGE problem for me. I will NOT change my default windows setting to try and fix a firefox issue because that then screws up my window sizes for games, programs etc for my other software that I also use daily. So I won't be changing what works for 20 programs via windows settings to make ONE browser work better. This is a firefox problem, and firefox needs to fix it. I have tried multiple solutions cited online and nothing is working. If firefox is trying to get rid of it's users with visual disabilities, this is the way to go. Here is an image link that shows the issue on flickr. The pop up should be completely visible and should have a scroll portion to resize the selected image in the lower portion of that circle, but it gets totally cut off and there is no scrollbar to move down, nor doe trying to resize or zoom out on these pop ups help, nothing changes. https://gyazo.com/11dc090e7209c13a3e4cff37246aa6b5 this is how it should properly look / work, pic taken on chrome browser https://gyazo.com/0689a605b7a60857c9c15b9c9fec4a07

I'm trying to restore Firefox Bookmarks and stored login/passwords from a Time Machine backup of my Macbook Pro. I've read in the Mozilla support articles where this info is stored, but my backups have no Firefox folder under "Applications Support." Did it get eliminated when I signed up with Mozilla in order to get help with this? These files are on my current system, but they only have a few items that I've entered today.

Lost power. Computer shut down. Reopened Firefox and no passwords. Looked in profile and there are 4 files logins.json.corrupt (149 kb) all created today at same time and 1 file logins.json (2 kb). I ASSUME my passwords are in the 149KB json file? If I delete logins.json (2kb) and rename one of the 149KB to logins.json, when I reopen firefox, it just does it again: renames logins.json to logins.json.corrupt (149kb) and creates a new logins.json (2kb). Is there anyway to recover these passwords? Windows 7 Latest version of firefox

hello? I am currently using Firefox Nightly(Snap 119.0a1) on Ubuntu 23.04. As the title suggests, when the main Firefox window on YouTube goes into the background, the subtitles in the PIP are not updated. 1. Go to YouTube in Firefox nightly, play a video, turn on subtitles and PIP. 2. Open a program other than QT and change it to full screen. 2-1. I just tested it, and it can be reproduced by simply minimizing Firefox. 3. Subtitles are not updated until the main Firefox window (not the PIP window) appears on the screen. 3-1. When I opened the QT program in full screen it worked fine (Firefox may not be aware that the QT program has obscured Firefox). 4. When the Firefox main window appears on the screen using any method such as Alt+Tab or Win key, the PIP subtitles are updated again. 4-1. Even if it is a GTK app, transparency is applied and the subtitles are updated when the Firefox main window is visible in the background. ※ I created a new profile for testing and tested it, and the same problem occurred.

This is a description of the attached photos (1,2,3 in order from left/video capture time is the same video time) 1. Subtitles and video displayed normally in the Firefox window 2. The state in which the Firefox window is displayed on the screen: The subtitles in the PIP window are updated. 3. The Firefox window is hidden or minimized: The subtitles in the PIP window are not updated (the subtitles before minimizing the window are not updated to the next subtitles).

At some point, I've noticed that certain behaviours expected to occur when pressing the Escape key no longer did. Those behaviours mainly involved triggering some Javascript, including functionality in keyboard-related extensions, such as Tridactyl. Browser-level functionality on the other hand, such as pressing Shift-Escape to open `about:processes`, or pressing Escape to close Search Suggestions when the URL input bar, continue to work as before.

Upon investigation, I found it is specifically the javascript Keydown event that isn't being registered, while the subsequent Keyup event still is. I used https://w3c.github.io/uievents/tools/key-event-viewer.html to test this.

I also found that starting Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode (Safe mode) doesn't resolve the issue. On the other hand, creating a new profile does.

I've looked at the modified settings in `about:config`; there's a lot, but nothing stands out as being related to keyboard input or javascript.

Can someone please help me find what is causing this?

I tried `firefox` `firefox-esr` `thunderbird``firefox -P`. I also deleted `~/.mozilla`, `firefox -p presaved-profile-dir` stay the same.

the `firefox binary` and the `profile dir` are all useful because I saved them to zip file and use them every day. So is there any other dir besides the 2 dir which fails the startup? even thunderbird fail with the same reason.

Help please, thanks!

This has happened a few times before after a Firefox update, but the most recent occurrence was after the update to version 117.0.1. My mouse wheel will not scroll in the bookmarks drop down menu, I have to use the up and down arrows in the drop down menu which is very slow. When the scroll wheel did work in the past, I could be scrolling and then move the cursor to the up or down arrows and scroll even faster still using the scroll wheel and get to the folder I want a lot quicker. The scroll wheel works normally while scrolling through webpages, the only place it doesn't scroll is the bookmarks drop down menu. I'm running Firefox version 117.0.1 (64 bit) on a Windows 10 notebook PC. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I have been running into an issue any time that I try to open Firefox, I recive a pop up stating "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."

I have tried all of the suggestions noted within the Mozilla support and documentation.

I am running Windows 11 and was using my machine normally. I cleared the cache within Firefox under the settings and was able to use the browser for 20 more minutes without any issue. I tried to open a second Firefox window and received the Profile Missing error. From here I closed out instance of Firefox which I had open and tried to open up Firefox again. I was greeted with the same "Profile Missing" error.

When I navigate to the location of the Firefox profile (%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\) there exists a profiles.ini file along with a "Profiles" folder.

I have tried deleting the profiles.ini file, as the Mozilla documentation says that doing so will cause Firefox to generate a new profile, however after doing so I continue to receive the "Profile Missing" error.

I am unable to access the Profile Manager within Firefox to make changes to a profile or create a new one as stated within the Mozilla documentation, due to the application being blocked by the "Profile Missing" error causing the browser not to open.
