Suddenly when I click on 'Preview' to an email PDF attachment it will no longer show the PDF file, but instead says 'We are having trouble previewing this file' ~ see screenshot. My only option is to download the file, and then open it. This is happening with both incoming and outgoing email PDF attachments. Any suggestions??

(It may be "website broken" but I fear it is more this part of the problem)

Sorry folks, I know I don't help here much yet am often asking questions.

Base line: This machine Firefox Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Lots of pages/tabs open. 4 very specif tabs: 1 - this machine. 1 - RasPi #1 1 - RasPi #2 1 - RasPi #3 1 - RasPi #4

I use Node-Red on all 4 machines. So I have the tabs open on their "edit screen". I have a "dark theme" loaded - saves burning my eyes.

Until very recently things have been good. Example: Pic 1 And another part that is correct. Pic 2 All machines are running the same version of Node-Red with the same settings for how the "edit screen" is shown.

Suddenly - and alas I don't have a screen shot of one of the problems - the colour scheme is corrupt.

Example of a problem. Problem1 I can't see things until I move the mouse over them.

the other problem - which has now gone away - is the background as shown in pic2 is white.

Until today this problem didn't exist.

I am asking here as I want to check all possibilities.

SUSPICION 1: A LONG TIME ago I asked for help with the log in screen for these three remote machines. The colours were wrong and at the log in screen I was seeing text similar to how it looks in 'problem1' picture.

I adjusted the colours to something else and it helped the problem. Not exactly 100% good, but it did make the contrast better. Has that *crept into* causing this problem?

(edit 2) Ok, something else that doesn't make sense. The third of the remote machines. It's colour scheme is working fine. It is the same as the first two. RasPi. Buster. Ok 1 and 2 are V3 and 3 is V2.

BUT! Ok, saying what I just said/suspect is true: HOW did it happen? It was working for .... years. No problems. Suddenly **BANG** it happens.

Is it possible to disable this notification after I install an addon, or at least make it dispensary after 2 seconds without me needing to click anything, make it smaller even?

I was using the Firefox browser on my laptop on the floor. My little sister stepped on the far left part of my keyboard and did some sort of shortcut so now it won't show my tabs open or the search bar unless I put my cursor to the top of the screen. Also, my taskbar does not show at the bottom of my screen anymore unless I hit the window button on my keyboard. Can someone please help me put it back the way it was? Is this the right way to contact someone about this problem?

I see no way to set the system-wide default zoom to 70% as each time I do so and reboot, it is reset to 100%

This is, sadly, extremely frustrating after 3 decades of happily using FF.

Issue: When trying to stream video via criterion, progress spinner spins for about a minute and then the website delivers: 'Please try again in a supported browser'. Firefox delivers: 'Firefox is installing components necessary to reproduce the audio or video in this page. Try again later.'

In plug-in manager: Widevine is not enabled, receive alert: '...this will install in a few moments'. It does not actually ever install. In settings: Play content with DRM is enabled.

Attempted fixes: 1) Toggling DRM in settings. 2) Firefox & machine restart 3) update & upgrade terminal commands, separately 4) Changing VPN servers & disconnecting VPN (NORD)

Note: Playing videos on Youtube works, as does streaming music via Tidal.

I use English (US) with International Keyboard on my Chromebook. I'm switching from using Chrome to Firefox through Linux and I can't use the international keyboard -- it doesn't input special characters and it doesn't even input an apostrophe -- on anything through Firefox. Is there any way to get it to work?

Receiving Nightly Error Running in background unable to start 202309091305

After setting Firefox Mozilla Nightly as my default web browser on my Samsung laptop, I have been receiving an error message that Nightly is running in the background with a pop-up window that suggests closing the browser. After agreeing with the popup window nightly still will not open. My fix is to reboot my laptop at this point.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

On TCGPlayer.com, their "Messages," system requires you to check a confirmation box before deleting a message. Hoping I would be able to expedite the process, I checked the Firefox option to disallow the site from sending me that confirmation box and I can't figure out how to re-enable it because otherwise the page just sits there idly waiting for me to confirm.

There is an Add-On called Shortkeys that allows custom actions to be assigned to various standard key combinations (ctrl-A, alt-X, etc.) but this does not work for keys that emit escape code sequences.

I have a keypad that I use for motion commands, including scrolling, in my vim editor and I would like to use the same keys to scroll up/down on a loaded page in Firefox. Is there any way, including using some Add-On that would allow these keys that emit escape sequences to be assigned to page motions?

I have tried to stop all Mozilla Notifications, nothing seems to work. Any advice? This is annoying especially since it happens every few minutes. I am ready to uninstall the app.

My computer had a crash today, after that windows was working on some updates. The firefox was updated also, I believe.

Since the updates, whenever the Firefox is closed and later opened again, the previous session is not restored. I have checked the General -> Start-up -> Open previous windows and tabs setting, and the option is ticked, (therefore it should do the session restore).

A have also tried "browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once" changing to "true" and that did not work either, so no previous tabs were restored.

Any ideas, what could have gone wrong and how to this this issue?

Hi, there is an open source chrome extension that I really need it in firefox, any idea how to fork & edit it to work in firefox? I have experience in js,html,css. so suffering is okay for me

I just got a new computer and microwoft is not letting me download firefox. I keep down loading it but get a message ids not a microsot product. One message saiys I should click to accept that but there is nothing to click. Then another message tries to send me to an app sgtore which I don't want to do.

How do I get around that?

can you just put a check box on the MANAGE YOUR EXTENSIONS MENU to turn on TOOL BAR extension short cuts for extensions. THIS IS WHERE THAT BELONGS NOT HIDDEN UNDER THE EXTENSION PUZZLE PIECE.

So, the problem is my volume in only fierfox became reaaaly low, idk why, then when trying to find a solution i was made aware of a volume icon, to understand that I do not have it. Then i searched for : System Preferences, Sound, Output and check "Show volume in menu bar", but i don't find system preference, nor tools, or About, or just Preferences anywhere, i am so very lost. the settings seams very limited, and i dont find anything in the toolbar. I use fierfox Version 117.0 on linux

I'm developing an office addin product for excel (using microsoft's javascript api for office) that can be installed to run locally in excel workbooks as well as in office web i.e. user's online workbooks under his/her ms365 account. For testing the addin performance in office web, i'm currently trying out different browsers. There is a shortcut key to my addin that should open the addin taskpane. The shortcut doesn't conflict with any firefox or excel office web shortcut (even if it did, there should be a prompt according to microsoft's documentation). The problem is, when i load a workbook and press the shortcut key combination, the addin taskpane doesn't open. There is no error in console either. I tried setting the security.enterprise_roots.enabled = true assuming this could be due to certificate trust issue but that didn't solve it. More interestingly, the shortcut does work in firefox once after many retries and this is completely random - at least i couldn't identify when it works and why. It is very rare and may be once in 100 tries. I tried loading a sample addin provided by microsoft to test shortcuts (you can also use it) from here: https://github.com/OfficeDev/Office-Add-in-samples/tree/main/Samples/excel-keyboard-shortcuts If i load the manifest.xml in any office web excel workbook (as described in the sample above) in firefox, it worked the first time i.e. the prompt appeared (as the sample shortcut CTRL + ALT + 1 had a conflict with existing office excel shortcut for number formats dialog) and the shortcuts from both addins were working at this point (interesting). It means the sample addin shortcuts and my addin shortcut started to work briefly. Then again i pressed CTRL + F5 to test again, and none of the addin shortcuts were being picked up. My addin shortcut simply does nothing, and the sample addin shortcut opens excel's number format screen. If i reset the excel shortcut preference in the workbook using the search bar, it should show the conflict prompt for the sample addin, but it doesn't and rather loads the number format dialog. Please note that none of these behaviors are present in chrome and edge, where everything works as expected and documented by Microsoft - for both my addin and the sample. The taskpane opens as soon as i press the shortcut key for my addin or the sample's. I think firefox somehow ignores or doesn't remember the addin shortcuts most of the time. That's why it does nothing with my shortcut as it is not mapped to any excel or browser action. And it opens the number dialog for sample ignoring the sample shortcut because excel has an action against it. This also explains why both addin shortcuts work when one of them works as firefox starts to remember shortcuts for that session. What doesn't explain is why firefox doesn't store it all the time or why it keeps ignoring? If you want to reproduce, please try with the sample from microsoft. And please let me know if I can help in any way to identify the problem. Sorry for the very long message. I'm eagerly waiting for your response.
