windoows 102 dressktop with ESET antivirus software. Is firefox running and if YES, how can I turn Firefox VPN OFF or pause it for two or three hours while I update printer software?

After installing Mozilla on my mobile phone and syncing with my laptop all my bookmarks and history are GONE from my laptop. When attempting to restore them, following your suggested instructions, no dates appear when clicking the restore function. Deleted Mozilla from my mobile phone, still no good. Do I need to recreate all my bookmarks again?! How? When attempting to bookmark a new site it does NOT bookmark! No new history is showing either! Very disappointing, should I just return to windows again after years and years with Mozilla? Andrew S

Today Firefox has suddenly started using ~20% of my CPU capacity, causing my cooling fan to run high most of the time. Since I had been running Firefox v.149.latest, I tried updating to v.150.0, but that made no difference.

It's not Firefox by itself (only Task Manager open) but whenever I open another tab with almost any website (including this one) that CPU usage spikes. What gives?!

Details: Running under Windows 10 Pro (yes, I have installed the ESU package, good until thi8s fall) on a Lenovo P1 Gen 2. Currently running Firefox inside a Sandboxie Pro v1.17.4 sandbox.

bold text On brand new DELL Alien-ware laptop with Windows 11 Firefox sometimes takes 30 seconds to open, Also once it is closed it cannot immediately open again. Error message shows Firefox is already opened and asks me to close it.

In the task manager under Apps running I see Firefox(12) when only the home page is open. Are those 12 hidden tabs or 12 parallel applications?

Have I made some errors in the Setup?

A couple days ago I started getting a blank page for the Firefox home page. FF is set as my default browser and FF default for windows and tabs. The home page was working fine but now I can't figure out how to get it back.

Hi ich habe versucht, die einstellungen zum einem fehlgeschlagenen login mit hilfe von chaptjpt zu verbessern. habe dadurch mein konto verändert. mein password neu erstellt und wiederherstellungsschlüssel ist nich korrekt. auf dem iphone ist alles drauf aber mit dem sekundären email adresse und das password ist auch weg wie kann ich die einstellungen lesezeichen auf den firefox im rechner übertragen?

I have been trying to get Firefox to clean up everything when I close it down,

It is so hard as if purposely a 1000 development team have worked on making it impossible.

When I close it down, it must be completely sanitised, no previous site visits, login names, passwords, suggestions - nothing.

And I should be able to achieve that with one button press, not have to go through a thousand individual settings.

I have now spent an hour checking and unchecking buttons, it is crazy. For example I go to the passwords, I have to delete each and every one individually. Maybe there is another screen somewhere, but when I want to interact with "Passwords" I naturally go to "Passwords".

And still, when I go to gmail, it autofills the gmail account! Where did that come from? I have spent an hour trying to make sure it deletes everything when it closes down.

And it should leave no trace on the PC. no temp files, nothing.
