I need help setting my passwords in Mozilla and Firefox. I'm also confused as to what is the difference between the 2 entitities. If there is anyone to guide me would be appreciated.

Hello Folks: after having the 'invisible' band across the top of each page, it was advised I reset : was fine saved all bookmarks before hand etc. Now, I am having to log into my usual apps each time: eg. the Library, the duck.ai, the Fitness app etc. Was this a result of the reset: wondering if the duckduckgo Privacy Essentials extension and the FF reset (refresh?) in now in conflict: I am not a greenhorn but definitely not an advanced techy so laylman's terms please THANK you for your help with this.

I JUST TRIED TO OPEN A DOWNLOADED EMAIL AND FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER I WAS TOLD TO ENTER THE PASSWORD TO OPEN THE PDF FILE I TRIED ADOBE ACROBAT AND THEN TRIED MOZILLA WHAT PASSWORD ARE THEY ASKING FOR, WHERE CAN I FIND IT THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE THE LAST MOZILLA UPDATE

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS PERFORMANCE AND CONNECTIVITY . MONTHS AGO ALL MY LOGIN AND PASSWORD INFORMATION WAS REMOVED. i HAVE BEEN ABLE TO START INSTALLING THOSE THAT I COULD BY ADDING THOSE I COULD BUT HUNDREDS WERE NOT AVAILABLE . AND MY COMPUTER HAS BEEN WORKING KIND OF OK JUST RECENTLY I NOTICED AN UPDATE TO MY COMPUTER HAPPENED AND IT IS NOT WORKING VERY WELL

148.0 was updated today and somewhere the user profiles was changed; all website addresses for pw management were not able to connect. I have two computers on a home network; 1. a Digital Engine Win7 enterprise with Firefox ESR 115.33 operating OK, 2 is a CUBI mini Windows 10 Enterprise Firefox `48.0. I am in process of taking the windows 7 out of service and was doing some cleanup on home network and I noticed had a connection failure on the 2. machine. I looked at the browsers and discovered that the old firefox data is not on desktop as it once was, and I also noticed that the user profile for the about:profile was wrong. I need to restore the CUBI profile. I was moving some things around and lost continuity somewhere. II just remembered....there is a refresh on the control panel for mozilla. looks like this is going to work just fine. The old windows 7 makes a good traveling encyclopedia!

Ok I did a refresh; the machind took over recovered all the data files, repaired and cleared a path for restart of Firefox. and that failed due to a TLS handshake between Mozilla and Google.failed. I have mozilla, firefox, google and chrome accounts. All google accounts are logged out at this time; mozilla is logged in on the Win 7 machine and the failed refreshed machine needs to do the TLS....

Question: should I log in to google account and repeat a refresh? Seems like a dumb question

I answered my own dumb question.....I signed on to google and I guess Mozilla refress allowed the default browser to get the handshake but I noticed the settings were incomplete on my oped Firefox; once I set my tabs and prefs the web addresses were back to norm....I have a working pair of end of life OS PCs which are still going strong thanks to the Mozilla Open House! There should be a web interface to manage firefox account passwords, yet there isn't. This is seriously bad because it means the user has to install firefox to manage passwords. I installed firefox on mobile just to find out there's no option to select multiple passwords at once so i can delete all of them. Please delete all of them.

Two step verification is set up on all my email accounts via webmail - Verizon/AOL, Gmail, and Yahoo. I never set it up, and when I go in to the mail applications' prefererences it's turned off. But when I try to sign into any of my webmail sites it insists on sending me a code and I have to go back to Thunderbird and open the emails containing the verification code. I specifically go to web mail because spam folders aren't available in Thunderbird and I need access to the spam so I can turn it in to Spamcop. (Mac desktop, OS 15.7.1)

Apparently when Total AV did a scan this morning, it completely knocked out my RoboForm. I really want it back. I have tried everything I can think of to log in, but it is grayed out and won't allow me in.

i have been using this email address [email 1 removed] and it wont let me to sign in or reset password i do have another email address which is no longer use its been hacked ([email 2 removed]) is it possible to change the email address to [email 1 removed] so i can continue using that email [email 1 removed]

Mozilla sent me passcode # [edited] to create a new password to sign in with on the new browser that I was faced with today wont take it the cose . My name is Darek Shapiro. I need to work today. Want my old browser back

It looks like with this new version of Firefox I have to load my saved password file every time I start the browser, and even after doing the reload some of the passwords don't work forcing me to change them, and I would have to do another password save, but if I forget to do it and close the browser all the passwords are delete. I did not have this problem prior to this new install.

Also I prefer to use Firefox as a browser I feel it is way better than Edge and Chrome even though it doesn't work one a two websites I need to use. one only works on chrome the other only works on edge.
