Typically, I have about 6 windows open at a time with about 20 tabs in each window. Previously, I was able to shut down my computer and all of them would reopen again. But, today is the second day in a row that that hasn't worked even though I have Open Previous Tabs & Windows checked off in the settings.

I would appreciate figuring this out as it's a pain in the ass opening everything again.

• I just noticed that Firefox is supposed to open automatically. This doesn't happen either.

I'm using a LG laptop running Windows 11.

Usually when I click the toolbar it would open to the "History" tab, but now for some reason whenever I open the browser it defaults to the "Bookmarks" tab instead. This happens even if I already have a window open with the toolbar set to "history", opening a new window will reset that windows toolbar to the default "bookmarks" tab.

Is there a way to force the default toolbar page to history? Is this a bug?

Even though my settings in Firefox are set to restore open tabs when restarting, and Firefox is my default browser, I was unable to restore my open tabs when my Firefox browser just closed on me. I went up to the menu > History > Recently closed tabs > Reopen all tabs and nothing happened. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks for your help!

A few weeks or months ago, Firefox suddenly wouldn't save my browsing history for longer than approximately 1 month. This is odd, because I have history turned on. I use custom history settings and only have cookies and cache deleted every time I close Firefox. Also, it does not delete the history upon closing FF, but it's simply limited to round about one month back. I have played around in about:config before, so I might have touched something there and not noticed until later.

I use Firefox 137.0.2 (64-bit) on a Windows 11.

Any ideas what might be the issue and how I could solve it?

While I was browsing the internet,I saw one of mt results, while related to something I viewed before, was reworded and looked different than how I had typed it. The only extension I currently have is Ghostery. Could someone please explain whats going on?

My search history has disappeared. View/history shows a blank page. If I select "history" from the menu, "recently closed tabs" and "recently closed windows" are grayed out, and "recent history" is empty. But I've been to a dozen or more sites today. What can I do to make Firefox record my history?

There is a website that I go to that has suggested UserIDs in the dropdown box. I have tried to clear those through the privacy/clear settings in Firefox. Nothing clears them. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, yet the data is still there. I have cleared, deleted with every setting I could find, to no avail. I am using 138.0.1 (64-bit). I'm afraid I cannot continue using Firefox, after the last change, since I can no longer keep my tabs open after closing a session, as I specified in the settings: "Open previous windows and tabs." Can someone help?

All I have want to do, is to stop Firefox asking me every single time I load it up do I want to restore a session, jusst becuase of the way I shut down.

No, I do not want to resotre session and I never will.

So why have you made it so bloody annoying and frustrating to turn this feature off?

Please, just stop it, just make firefox easy to configure and use, making everything so frustrating to use. You know, most of the world are not programmers and geeks. Most people just want to be able use and configure stuff to their liking hassle free. Stop being arrogant snobs and start actually lookign at things from the point of the everyday user.

How do I search the Firefox History section to Exclude results with certain words. For example, if I had searched for Firefox and Thunderbird, and wanted history with Mozilla but not Thunderbird. A minus sign before the word(s) to exclude does not seem to work.

in FF 137.02 Win11Pro there is no reopen previous session option in the history menu, even though in settings, history, "firefox will" is set to remember history. We tried reinstalling FF. No luck.

Is there a way to reopen the previous session?

Has that feature been deleted?

I have a new computer and I installed Firefox and when I open Firefox, my previous session tabs are opening, even though the "Open previous windows and tabs" is NOT checked.

There's a way to recover a pack of history that I left open, but I've put another station open together and closed the old one first, and now I've lost a lot of tabs that were open. I don't know if Mozilla has that function, but that will be great. Something like that saves me a lot of times in Chrome, but I want here. Mozilla is better

I don't fully remember when this happened, but lately the browser has trouble clearing my search history even though I had it set so that it does so every time I close it. I only managed to fix it by making it so that it doesn't remember the search history, but some of the old searches are still there whenever I punch in part of what I was searching.

by jump to specific history, I mean something like search in library > bookmark and right-click on specific link then "show in folder"

it would be very helpful if something equivalent of "show in folder" exists in the context of history search, I often search specific site and wondering what else sites I opened around that time (relative to specific site I found on search results)

if there's any workaround or alternatives, please leave a comment! ^^

My name is Connor, and this morning i fear i made a dreadful error. i was about to open my mozilla, with the session (tabs and windows from yesterday 08.04.2025. included). as i was launching my mozila it froze, so i closed it and ran it again. but when i did i lost everything i had up until yesterday. is there any way i ca get it Restored, or is it all gone forever?
