Watching a CNN video on YouTube Firefox suddenly freezes and does not accept any further actions. Even shutting down it will block the process and I need to use the "Shut down anyway" function. Similarly, Thunderbird will lock up in the middle of writing a response, but here it is just the window and I lose what I typed, but I can go back and push "reply" again and retype the answer. Whether these are down to similar issues I don't know. Obviously, this sounds like a graphics driver, so I made sure all updates are installed and there is no further update available for both, Firefox and Thunderbird as well as the system drivers. I would like to make a new account with an email account I control. I cannot make the secondary email address the new one because my university email is now unable to receive emails such as 2FA codes.

My computer automatically restarted, and when I reopened Firefox it was updated and my account was logged out. Once I logged in, everything was gone -- bookmarks, history, extensions. The only thing not gone were my saved passwords (so I know I logged back into my same account). I swear I backed everything up after the last snafu, but now I can't find anything. How do I fix this? I had 4+ years of bookmarks saved, plus my article saver extension.

Dears since yesterday i cannot download yahoo mails to thunderbird on my windows computer. when thunderbird gets new messages, a window pops up asking me for yahoo account name and password. when entered yahoo gives the following message: " Something went wrong. We could not sign you in. Try again from a different device." i use thunderbird 148.0 on windows 11 (out of china, with Astrill VPN - all other websites work normally with VPN). i have three different yahoo accounts, the first time thunderbird asked yahoo first mail and authentification went through, but it does not go through for the remaining two accounts. i verified that OAuth2 is set up for all accounts. password is correct (as i can still receive emails on iphone mail app). cookies can be accepted without any exceptions, can see the whole OAuth2 dialog panel. i did all steps for setting multiple accounts. i verified all accounts for POP and STMP server settings. also mailnews.oauth.usePrivateBrowser set to TRUE. After all this, it still does not work (i also restarted thunderbird and the computer), what else can i do? Regards Violaine

My password manager up until very recently let me sign into Rogers, the largest internet & webmail provider in Canada. Now the page does not fully come up, allowing one to sign in. Refreshing, rebooting & clearing cache helps not at all. It does work fine in edge however. It's an issue on your end.
Used to my subject line would be the color of tag that i put with the email now it doesn't anymore and its harder to find what i am looking for by tags

Please let me peacefully watch my educational videos, else I'll have to switch to other browsers and encourage others to do the same. After the last update, I lost the toolbar bookmarks and passwords. After some time I was able to figure out how to sync them from my mobile. When I closed FF on my desktop, I lost the sync. Now I get an error when I try to sync. Your last update (using flawed AI, I presume) sucks and has rendered the browser I have used for years. I used your "help" page to recover once, but as soon as I closed the browser, it reverted to no bookmarks, no passwords. I don't want to use MS browsers because FF has served very well for years. Sorry but WTF are you thinking?

Also, I download my emails, I erase the unwanted emails, and suddenly, many copies of my previously erased emails show up after I get a new email. This happens with Gmail and Yahoo Mail. While testing the new profiles option with Firefox after loading containers while having Surf-shark VPN on my computer stop accessing websites. The conflict was resolved by reloading surf shark and then while attempting to remove new profiles not being used I deleted the original homepage/profile. Over 10yrs of bookmarks, passwords, and numerous pieces of data have been lost. I need that original Firefox homepage user account for my computer restored.

I use a Lenovo desktop computer that I have used along with the Firefox browser for about 3 years and never had any problems until now. For the past two days it takes up to a couple of minutes to for the Firefox browser to open a page. While the page is loading, I get at the bottom right corner of the screen "performing a TLS handshake." I vaguely understand this terminology but am not an expert on the subject. This "handshake" repeatedly occurs with all sites that I open daily with the Firefox browser. The pages usually open within a couple of seconds. Now it takes minutes and sometimes doesn't open at all. I have difficulty opening even the Firefox home page and when it finally opens, it is incomplete? Do you have any suggestions that might help me?
I must add that the internet connection from my provider, Eastlink, located in Nova Scotia, Canada, is by Ookla tests very slow, ranging from 40 to 55bps instead of the regular150bps or higher. I don't know if the problem is with my desktop or with the provider and the provider has not responded to my telephone request with any information that explain where is the source of the slow internet speed problem.
