Hi,

Since updating to Thunderbird 140.7.1esr (64-bit) on Windows 11, moving messages from Inbox to any folder takes about 7 seconds.

Details:

Account type: IMAP (Cogeco)

Happens in all folders

Inbox has ~600 messages (not large)

Was working normally before the recent update

Delay occurs every time moving a message from Inbox to another folder

No freezing — just a delay before the move completes

No antivirus changes

Issue started immediately after update

This appears to be related to IMAP sync behavior introduced in 140.x.

Has anyone else reported this, or is there a known regression?

I have just installed Thunderbird on my Android phone and using my desktop Thunderbird exported my email address to the Thunderbird mobile. This worked OK. Just for the record, this is my first time with Android version of the Thunderbird, and I can't find the inbox folder. Could you please guide me how to do it? Many thanks.

When I first open K9Mail 16.0 or after scrolling to the top of the message list, the message does not disappear from the list after I open a message, select move, and choose a folder. The message will no longer be clickable after I do this. However, it will remain displaying in the list until I start scrolling the message list, at which point the list updates and removes the moved message.

Please fix this bug.

I have used Thunderbird on my desktop PC for many years, and have now installed it on a Lenovo tablet running Android. The setting up was simple (thank you), and I am receiving emails with no problem. I have tried sending emails and they are simple to type up, but there is no visible "Send" button. I have accidentally sent an email successfully, but have no idea of how this came about. Please help me to send emails, as I am very keen to use the tablet fully. Many thanks, Nigel Olliver.

Recently started using Thunderbird on Pixel 9a, Android v16. Just installed newest update to OS. Emails do not sync properly. New messages that are in my Gmail do not show up in Thunderbird until I do a manual update. This is true for all folders, but especially trash and spam. For example, messages that appeared in my Gmail trash folder this morning did not show up in Thunderbird trash at 7 pm MST this evening. When I did a manual sync, 10 messages from this morning suddenly showed up in Thunderbird. In Thunderbird settings, Background sync is set for Always. What do I need to do?

Hi All, I have been sending emails through Android Thunderbird, but they aren't being synced to the server, so I can't see them anywhere else. I've set the Sent folder to sync (as well as the Inbox). Pressing the sync button just spins the indicator, but doesn't actually sync. When I try to move or copy messages, an error comes up saying that messages can't be copied or moved that aren't synconised. How can all my messages (sent, inbox, everything) be synced so that I can see them everywhere? I've just turned on sync debugging, will see the results soon.

Jusque là, elles sont cachées et un message s'ajoute : les visualisation des mails ouverts est inutilement compliquée (à mon sens, le principe de sécurité, annoncé à chaque fois à ce sujet, n'est pas adapté.). I cannot sign in. I see a box showing Mozilla Thunderbird below above it says Micros I see my Micros account. I have 10 password I haven't used any them that I remember. If I try too many times I am blocked. I was able to see what I would have to to get a QR code but not anymore. When I tried to get code last a few days ago There were black vertical lines moving from left to right so I could not take picture using my S23. I did some search and it I have to change some setting on my S23. I have new version of Thunderbird on my S23. No password since I have not been able to take QR image. This is not working for a week now. No emails to my S23 account. Please help me.

Hi!

I installed the Thunderbird app via Play Store a while ago. I have the F-Droid app on my phone, too. I now got a notification from F-Droid offering me an update for Thunderbird. I'm far from a pro. I would have expected an app installed via Play store to only be connected to and updated via Play Store. Is this all safe and okay? There is no Thunderbird update available in Google Play.
