Hello

I have set Thunderbird to open my PDF's using Sumatra but when I open a pdf from within Thunderbird, Windows Photo Viewer tries to open the document. If I set the pdf to Firefox, the pdf opens but most of my pdf's are very graphic and Firefox does not like them.

Any clues on how I get Thunderbird to use Sumatra please?

Today the "new" version of Thunderbird started. T don't know yet if that is better than the older versions, but that's not the question. I was asked to donate to Thunderbird when I opened the new version and I wanted to do that, as I have supported Thunderbird earlier. But: after having given my name and email address so you can contact me that you received the payment, I was obliged to give you my home address, ZIP-code, place where I live etc. and I could not leave that open before I could contribute to Thunderbird. There is no reason that you need my home address before I can donate to your organization, so I stopped there and did NOT donate. I think that is is a stupid policy to ask for more private data than necessary. Maybe nice for your promotional department, but you lost me as a supporter.

For some time now, e-mail messages have been disappearing from my inbox. (I found out when I tried to find the message in the history) I checked with the supplier home.pl and according to their technicians there is no problem on their side. According to home.pl, the problem lies with Thunderbird and probably with the program's internal settings. It is possible that emails are archived to a file every 30 days (home.pl opinion) However, I don't remember setting up Thunderbird this way. Please help me how to recover or possibly find a file containing e-mails that disappeared only from my inbox. Messages in the sent folder are retained.

I have a lot folders with non english name. Now (version 115.3.1) these folders can't be access. No folders inside!

I tried to use english installation package of thunderberd and russian installation package. The results are the same.

In file system I can see new folders like a83c9e97 with no files inside. Old one (like Masha_Интеллектуал.sbd ) is accessible in file system.

I support Thunderbird and a wanted to make a donation, but you now require my home mailing address for it go go through. You do not need private info for donations, that is very disappointing... As long as you require my personal info to donate I will not be able to support you.

I have Thunderbird 102.15.1 (64-bit) running on Debian. I can send and receive emails. But if I send an email, and the recipient replies, Thunderbird doesn't show the email in any of the folders or threads. If the recipient sends a new email, Thunderbird displays it in the "Inbox". How do I get the reply to show in the "Inbox"?

Cut /copy and paste, nightmare!!!

what is going on? Cut / copy and paste should be easy, its not. Open a new tab, google homepage, and unable to paste the item I had just copied from another tab, it will only work when I go back to original and recopy? Too time consuming this issue.

I'm having an issue that's related to 115 as I didn't have this problem on 102. This is also not related to gmail, live.com, icloud or other exchange accounts, only my IMAP accounts are having this problem. I have it set to a unified folder and I display both sent and inbox in the thread. Some of the items in the inbox show twice and some, if not most of the items in the sent folder on the thread show twice as well.

Hi, when using the --search option with firefox in the command line a new window is opened regardless of whether the 'open in new tab instead of new window' option is checked in settings or whether the --new-instance option is added.

Is there a way around this? I'm trying to have a command that would make a search in a new tab of the current instance of Firefox.

Firefox on Android is great, but you can't move your shortcuts, edit the URL for them or sync them with desktop.

Am I missing something? Since it's easy to do this very basic thing that most other browser's have by default?

I can't find an answer to this, and if it's by design, then why? It makes no sense to not have a basic feature like this in a browser.

Tbird 115.3.1 Windows 11, when I try to insert a jpeg into the body of an "edit email as new" email that email hangs, and I can no longer edit it, delete it, etc., I can still open and close the main T bird window, but the email itself is locked until I shut down my laptop and restart it, and then restart T bird . . I did not have this problem before the update to 115.3.0 I tried opening the troubleshoot and refreshed the cache, did not help . . I tried opening the same email to edit as new, and attached the same jpeg, which was successful, and I could further edit it, send it, or delete it.
