Seemingly suddenly I cannot send email using Thunderbird. There have been no recent configurational changes. There are several computers in the home. I can log onto these and send email. The issue appears to be localized to my desktop. I can send/receive email from my desktop using Gmail directly, but when using Thunderbird sending (SMTP server) times out.

Mail provider: Gmail ISP: Google Fiber Firewall version: Windows defender AV software/version: AVG (free) 19.1.3075 (31Jan2019) Op sys: Windows 10 TBird ver: 10.5.0

Description: Google Mail Server Name: smtp.gmail.com port: 465 Authorization Method: Normal Password Connection Security: SSL/TLS

Composing an email using words like... freezer, previously, months, only, etc., and checking spelling as I type now results in them being underlined as if they're spelt incorrectly. This is a recent change and is most frustrating.

After the transfer, when I open Thunderbird on Ubuntu, one account and all the folders appear. But the other account is empty (just an empty Inbox,...).

The move was done copying the Thunderbird "profile folder" from one machine to another. Then as a second try (after deleting all the files on the target machine from the other attempt) with Tools->Import/Export->Export Profile method.

The folders exist in the exported folders "D:\Local-D\Thunderbird eMail\2019-01-28_Mov2Tarus\7rkcx2ly.default-20190128-1418\ExternalMailFolders\Settings"

I have been using Thunderbird for many years and there may be a problem with that. The reason I say that is there is a file "compatibility.ini".

I have searched for most of today trying to find a solution, but nothing I tried works.

Both eMail accounts are Pop Mail Server. Source machine is Win7, target machine is Ubuntu 18.

Can you help?

I installed Thunderbird with 3 email accounts and am unable to download my emails on one particular notebook. My desktop and other notebook can still receive emails without any problems.

The windows version is 7 Home Premium and whilst checking the error console in the developers tools, I get the following error :

Using Windows 10, TB 60.4.0 (32 bit)

Most local folders are missing from Folder Pane view

Have a bunch of local folders that i use for archiving stuff which normally sit under Local Folders in the folder pane, but they have disappeared from view :-( If I search for an email that i know is in one of the local folders then it does appear to find the email, but when i click on it, it does not show any detail for the message. The local mail archives still seem to exist on my hard drive - see image 1 & 2. The TB folder view is image 3. Contents of profile/Mail folder shown in image 4 (some of missing Local folder are in the tree but not all!)

Yesterday, I enabled the Microsoft OneDrive protect documents feature, not sure if this is related to issue as cant be sure when Local folders disappeared (sometime in the last week though!).

Help much appreciated!

Since 2 days al may folder and subfolder apear double, I removed my account and did set it up again but they stille reappear. The good folders are the dark ones and the grey ones are completely useles and empty. If i delete them and close thunderbird and restart thunderbird the are there again.

I tried windows 10 mail to check if its doing this in an other mail program but there it doesn't , please wat to do to get rid of these folders.

When I open new received emails it opens in a new tab as it should but then a new window opens like I am trying to edit the new email. Every time I have to x it out and then click discard changes to get back to read my email. It is time consuming a frustrating. I have tried to fix this for a while however I can't seem to find anyone having the same problem. I have never reached out here so if there is further information that may help please let me know what you need. Thank you for your time.

I am using TB 60.4.0 (32-bit) on a Window 10 (64-bit) OS. My problem is that TB always prints to my default printer on my computer. There is no printer selection dialog box that pops up. It just goes straight to the default printer. Is there a setting that anyone knows of that I can toggle in the config settings or the registry? I hesitate to install the 64 bit version because it is still in testing at this time. Thank you in advance.

I want to import My address book from Windows 10 email into Thunderbird. Having spent quite a few hours looking through on-line advice I decided to use the download of 'MoreFunctionForAddressBook' plug-in. I have tried downloading this for a number of different suppliers as I was getting a warning from all the providers of the download that' the download won't be installed as it is CORRUPT... Now many hours on I still can't replace my lost contacts that suddenly disappeared from my Thunderbird address book, leaving only a few of the original list???

Good Afternoon

I am trying to import emails from Outlook 2010 Version 14.0.4 into Thunderbird version 60.4.0

I am using Windows 7 64bit PC

The import progressed fine into Thunderbird but all the imported emails are corrupted as frequently interspersed in the body text of the emails is a repeated " &nbsp" hundreds of times.

The subject headers and to / from emails are all fine - just the body / content of the emails

I can confirm the emails are fine in their originating Outlook folders and also that Thunderbird has, of course, been working flawlessly as ever.

I would be very grateful for any assistance that could be proffered to help me successfully import the Outlook emails without errors

After I switched my remaining account to IMAP. A folder labeled "all" appeared. Does this duplicate messages in other folders? If I delete one or more message from "all" will it be deleted from another folder? What is it's intended function?

Can I eliminate this folder?

Thunderbird messages out of sync with message list

In my local folder with sub folders, some messages are not what the listing say they are. They are out of sync by 1 message. i.e. there are 2 messages one from Tom on dec 12th, the second from Frank on dec 13th. I click on the message from Frank and it displays the message from Tom. This is just an example. There are multiple messages behaving this way.

I have rebuilt the global database but that did not change any thing.

Any thoughts of what might be causing this and a way to fix it.
