Honestly, i keep trying to support FF but your releases are making me mad. first off my addons are missing after upgrade, they aren't in toolbar or bookmarkbar, they show enabled, but no control exists I use download all images for years, now there is no way to use it .. with the existing version. https://webextension.org/listing/save-images.html i've used this extension literally for years w/o incident.. damn.. this is majorly annoying and disturbs my workflow

why should i have to 'fix' something that was working prior to the upgrade. this is annoying even if some of the browser functionality is improved, your costing me unnecessary work

also why would you located the + new tab control to the left of the 'tabs', you never open a new tab there, always to the far right hand side, the user now has long mouse movements or short-cuts to open, its' broken theUX I've filed a bug on that one.

please you had to know this release had these side effect where are the release notes and the playbook for restoring this add-on functionality.

We still have a few Windows Server 2012 boxes that are using Firefox 115.15, except Tenable is reporting the version as with vulnerabilities.

I've never knowingly installed a non-mainline thunderbird, but earlier this week I started getting the following when I open Thunderbird:

This is an unsupported version of Thunderbird!! Thunderbird monthly releases are not considered stable for general use. Use at your own risk, this build is the same quality as Thunderbird Beta.

Checking the version of thunderbird.exe It says its v131, which happens to be the same as the copy of Firefox installed. When I remove and reinstall Thunderbird it starts off as 128 but quickly changes to 131, even after uninstalling Firefox. (Also annoyingly, this stomps on the version in the profile, which 128 claims is no longer compatible, because Thunderbird isn't clever enough to save a copy of files when it makes "breaking" changes to user files)

I wouldn't being on 131 if actually worked, but it gets stuck in the handshake with my IMAP server, and doesn't even show the local folder caches. (It also for some reason shows the window controls on left side of the window title bar, rather than the right).

How can I restore standard functionality?

I am trying to set up t-bird on a new laptop, but get a message "unable to log in at server" -- may be that I am using an old password, but how do I find what it is or change it? I have t-bird set up on 3 other computers, some of which sync and some don't. I would like to consolidate all of this onto my new laptop. Windows 11.

OS: Windows 10 App version: latest unknown.

I just erased all my profile files, trashed the Application that was in my machine and installed a new one from scratch. It worked for a few hours but crashed again. Opening in Safe Mode gives the same result.

missing Thunderbird profiles: Thunderbird works on my windows 11 box but, ]\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles can't be found. I see others have the same issue, all recently uploaded as I am doing now, so something must have happened. None of the suggested fixes have helped. Has anyone come up with a strategy that works? Hello, I'm a Thunderbird user in Japan. I'm sharing my work with my co-worker, therefore, we have received exactly same emails on Thunderbird. And my email data from Outlook grown too big to handle. So, I would like to install my co-worker's email data to my new Thunderbird which has ongoing email data which is slightly different because I don't have the emails which range of date is from around August 20. Also, the range of date of his data is from around September 10. There is approximately roughly 1 month difference.

Therefore, I would like to install his email data. So, I tried to do as below:- My coworker extract "default" data. I changed below to above "default" data. (Above might be slight different, because I did this change on around September 10, so my memory is not sure to correct.) Tool > Account setting > Server Setting > Folder email data are stored Local Folder > Data Import > Import from Thunderbird which was installed separately > Import from "default" profile > Error which cause is unknown

Could you kindly let me know how to install the data to my Thunderbird?

Version of my PC is Windows11 23H2(OS build 22631.4249)

Thunderbird version: 128.3.0esr(64 bit)

When I opened Thunderbird today, I was greeted by a giant red message warning, "This is an unsupported version of Thunderbird!! Thunderbird monthly releases are not considered stable for general use." By following a provided link to the "latest stable version of Thunderbird," I found that was version 128.3.0esr.

I did not request an update. I did have Settings> General> Updates set to "Automatically install updates", so I suppose that is how I got this version. But how was I pushed to an unsupported version? Do I need to turn off automatic installs to be protected from this in the future?

I've searched in every category and can't even find an "Options" on the menu. I remember when Thunderbird did have a "return receipt" that was very easy to find.
