Browser suddenly crashing when opening Slack

I've used Slack every day for the past decade, and Firefox has been my primary browser for some time now. I've never had an issue with the two, but now, Firefox is reliably crashing every time I attempt to open Slack.

I've tried clearing my cache both broadly and specific to Slack, with neither producing results. Even tried deleting all cookies on Firefox, which was a bit of a pain, and it was no help.

I did read up on some people encountering a similar issue that could be fixed by deleting the Slack entry in "about:serviceworkers," but this did not help here.

The only extension I'm running is uBlock Origin, which I've been running for probably as long as I've been using Firefox, and that has never presented an issue before either.

Would appreciate any help or advice on the matter.

But it will not respond when I attempt to search anything.

I am having the same problem as this fixed one, a year later: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1468647 As soon as I try to connect to an account via Google, or go to Gmail/Docs/Drive/Classroom, I'm always taken to a “Clear cache and delete cookies” page. So I followed the instructions on the page, deleted all my data and saved cookies from Firefox and even tried to reinstall Firefox completely, but nothing changed, I'm always redirected to this page. Logging in when in incognito mode works fine though.

Firefox version 144.0.2 MacOS Ventura 13.0 Language: French (FR)

​I am reporting two visual glitches (white bars) occurring in the Android version of Firefox.

  1. White Bar Appear Numbered list items at the Top in Portrait Multi-Select Mode
    When the browser is in portrait mode and I enter the multi-select state (e.g., in the Bookmarks or Downloads management screens), a white bar appears briefly or persists at the top of the screen. This seems like a UI rendering error.
  2. White Bar Appears on the Left Side in Landscape Mode
    When the phone is in landscape mode, a persistent white bar/strip is visible on the far left side of the screen. This affects the full-screen display.

If there's one thing I can count on, it's that the next version of Thunderbird will be more buggy & unstable that the previous version, and v 140 certainly does not disappoint in that category. It crashes & closes multiple times per day. Any time something else may be using a lot of resources, Thunderbird freezes up and if I click on it, the app crashes & closes. At least the previous just stayed greyed out until it was able to complete the task and didn't crash & close. Great job Mozilla.
