I'm a long time user and supporter. All of a sudden I can no longer send messages. After completing the message and entering info, there is no "SEND" in the upper left of the screen so the message can not be sent??????? Could use some help............................... Namely, that my antivirus program quarantined the entire inbox file upon detecting malware embedded in a single message.

I have spent 3 hours trying to figure this out. Nothing works for me.

Authentication always fails yet when I log into Outlook it always works.

I turned off using the new hub and was able to setup my email account but it told me OWL was not active (or something about OWL).

Godaddy is my provider.

What am I not doing correctly?

Also how do you check for new email if you're in the program. I have been shutting Thunderbird down and then opening it back up. Is there another way of doing this?

For the last month I have been unable to send outgoing messages from my Thunderbird program. Initially I also stopped receiving messages, but a local commputer technician helped resolve that. I can now receive messages but, if I try to send an email I still get this message: "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: p-impout003.msg-pkvw.co.charter.net cmsmtp 68.235.43.158 blocked. Please see https:// www.spectrum.net/support/internet/understanding-email-error-codes for more information. AUP#Out-1120." I have tried to resolve this through Spectrum and was told I would have to go to Thunderbird Support.

IMAP Trash not displaying deleted messages, but indicates messages exist.

I have setup a new IMAP with Thunderbird and my deleted messages are not displaying in the Trash area. I am currently on release version 141.0 (64 bit). I am running it on Windows 11 Pro service pack 24H2. I do not have any antivirus setup at this time.

First off I have multiple Trash bins, one for each account listed under the Inbox and then one in the Local Folders area, so I am not completely sure why the Local Folders one exists and what it's purpose is for. When I delete a message from the DrReilly account it is removed from the Inbox and and I see the number count go up on my Trash folder under the Inbox. However, when I go to the Trash folder it is completely empty but indicates I have messages in it (see Screenshot 1). I have toggled Unread, Stared, Contacts, Tags, & Attachments and the messages never show. I have verified that when I delete a message it is supposed to direct the messages to the Trash bin (see Screenshot 2).

The interesting thing is my issue is only with the DrReilly account, the deleted messages are showing up in the AHAH account (also an IMAP) with no issues. The only thing I can see different about the 2 accounts is that in the AHAH account folders it has a Trash & a Trash.msf file (see Screenshot 4) and the DrReilly account folders only have the Trash.msf file (see Screenshot 3).

I have tried everything I can find with a search and nothing seems to resolve the issue.

Can someone please help?

Using Thunderbird, how do I get back to my In Box after looking at sent messages as I see now way or choice to do so? I am a Mozilla financial contributor. Please advise as I cannot do so which makes Thunderbird useless to me. I see all of my send messages near the top of the screen which I can select to look at, but no way to get to my In Box. Shutting down and re-opening Thunderbird takes me to the same screen before I closed it.

First, thank you for being here. I am old, 77, and am not the best computer genius. I have no 16 year-old kids to call and fix grandpas computer. This morning, my Thunderbird had only two messages in the inbox, but checking my phone, there were the typical 25-30. Thunderbird had a pop up saying SMTP did not recognize my password, so I re-entered it and no change, still says not recognized. (Checked to make sure of password - was using correct one). Being half-smart, I decided to delete the email account and reinstall it. I did, and it works with all the emails from my phone showing up. Unfortunately, all the historical emails (saved for years in inbox folders) are gone along with the folders. These were things like reservation confirmations, receipts, instructions on how to reset something... Are these now gone forever or are they recoverable? I cannot remember if I ever set up a backup system for Thunderbird. When I first started using, I was able to import all the folders and stored emails from Outlook. Any advice or instructions would be appreciated.
